“Well, she really is, its a tough job bringing up kids and for her to have the grounding youre giving her, shes made a great start. For us, its great to see how an explanation of differing relationships is given to a child, she will grow with the knowledge that all kinds of love exists and thats an important thing for kids.” Tina
“My younger sister is gay, so it is important for Emily to understand, but regardless of that, kids are so accepting and adaptable, their unpolluted minds are like sponges for gathering information, and its amazing how they take it all in and understand it as well.” Jill explained.
“So, do you live around here Jill?” Tina enquired.
“Down in the suburbs of West Hollywood, I wanted to stay close to Ems Dad when we parted, so she can still maintain her contact with him, but Henry is such a controlling parent with her, its hard for her to keep having to adjust and readjust when she stays with him and then comes home, but you know, its important that he is in her life, I just hope she continues to manage to have her own personality without that overbearing father lurking behind her” Jill looked over and saw how Emily and Bette were in deep quiet conversation, intermittent giggles and the leaning in toward one another as if sharing private information, Emily gazing up into Bettes attentive eyes.
Tina glanced across to also watch the unlikely unfolding friendship between the five year old and the Art Director, she smiled to herself, hoping to be able to have these images in her memory bank of Bette and their own child in the future.
“They seem quite taken with one another, dont they?” Jill interrupted Tinas thoughts.
“Yeah they do, I think its going to be tough to prize them apart!” Tina replied smiling, her gaze still on the dark curls and the fine blonde hair of the child, “shes going to make such a great mom” Tina hadnt realized she had voiced the thoughts going through her mind until Jill touched her arm.
“Are you guys having a baby?”
Tina looked back suddenly, the sensation of the hand on her arm and the last murmurs of the word baby rousing her mind from her private thoughts. “Uhsorry, um no, not at the moment, but we are currently going through the process of finding a suitable donor”

This is a great fic by a brillant writer. LOVE the communication and the admittance and acknowledgement of fault by both parties, especially Betty, it shows her growth. This is so eloquently written.

I love how you can take simple words and turn them into this flowing story full of love. You have taken this couple from utter despair to the highest mountain and into the sea of delight. I have always loved Bette and Tina together and with the help of your story you have reminded me of the absolute love that a person can have for another. What ever seems to be thrown at them you have allowed them to work throught it and that seems to have brought them closer as a couple. IC and company should take lessons from your story telling. Then maybe they will treat Bette and Tina the way that most of us would love to see them.
Jo, as usual another fantastic chapter. If I remember correctly you left a comment on another author’s chapter calling her an ole slushy romantic. After this chapter I think that would accurately describe you also.

There are some chapters of a story that make your heart beat a little faster….there usually NC17s……this chapter just proves that it doesnt have to be NC anything…..to actually make your heart skip a few beats….no matter how many times you read it….Romance at its best!
