Lara turned on the radio to catch Alice’s show; she sat down at the island in her kitchen and ate her food.

“Alright, there’s something that I need to get off my chest. During my state of depression, I had a friend to be at my side. She’s a really great person, and I love to be around her. If you’re listening Lara, I want you to know that I want to thank you for being here for me in the time of need. I love you for that, and I hope that there can be something more for us in the future.” Lara sat her fork down and listen to Alice’s voice through the radio. “I want our relationship to grow and hope to that we will have a healthy relationship. We can live our lives as if nothing had happen. I know Dana will be happy for us, and I know this is what she would want. These are the feelings that I have for you, and I love you. I-I love you.” Alice laughed softly. “Well my time is up, I’m Alice Pieszecki and this is The Chart on KCRW.” Alice pushed away from the board and took a deep breath. She took off the headphones, and the producer walked into the room. Alice wiped her face and stood up. The producer walked up to her and gave her a hug. Alice stood there worried as she wondered what just happened.

“That was a great show Alice, great show.” She pulled away from her and wiped the tears away. Alice smiled.

“Thank you,” the producer walked out of the room. Alice grabbed her things and walked out of the room. She walked outside and got in her car.

            Alice pulled up in front of Lara’s house. she sighed softly and got out. She walked up the steps and knocked on the door. Lara came to the door and opened it. Lara smiled softly.

“Hi.”

“Hey,” Alice looked at Lara. “I wanted to say that I—.” Lara kissed Alice passionately and wrapped her arms around her. Alice kissed her back and cupped her face. They pulled away, and Lara laid her head against Alice’s.

“I heard every word you said.” Alice smiled and looked down. “Look at me,” Alice brought her eyes back to Lara’s. “I want you to know that I love you too.”

“This conversation was easier than I thought.” Alice laughed softly. Lara smiled and kissed Alice once more. She pulled away and grabbed Alice’s hand. She pulled her into the house and closed the door.
