I Fell In Love With A Straight Girl Ch 4

Simple and lovely she stood next to her open locker, I felt the butterflies in my stomach take flight leading me to her.

But next to her stood a tall boy, typical guy with a leather jacket on. He kissed her then strolled off to class.

Every butterfly died, and I was anchored to the ground by their weight.

I wanted to turn away, I wanted to dissapree. But I was standing to close and her dark eyes met my confused ones.

“Oh Shane.” She said a little surprised to see me

“Who was that?” My voice was low and blank.

Carmen paused and turned around to her locker; shoving books in to her bag she started talking fast.

“Shane that kiss was a mistake, I’m so sorry that I led you on. I just want to see what it would be like to kiss a girl.” She turn around to face me. “But I’m straight Shane, I’m sorry”

She shut her locker then walked away. My arms fell limp next to my body, the flower I made for her fell to the ground, and was crush by the feet of the on coming students.

Where I was walking I wasn’t sure, all I knew was that I was leaving. I didn’t want to see her; I didn’t want to see anyone.

“See what happens when you let your self go Shane, you are such an idiot.”

I was screaming at myself. You were never like this, you never give you your heart to someone, you should know better. You are better than this.”

I walked fasted as the rain hit my face. I remembered my motto, never to let anyone in. No body was ever worth the pain and the hurt.

“She was different.” I lied to myself “She’s straight!”

I felt like puking. How could I have gotten up hopes up like that?

Before I knew it I was at Alice’s doorstep. She wasn’t home, so I let myself in and found the beer she had in the fridge.

“ Let’s go back to step one. I told myself, “let’s just forget that this whole thing ever happen.”

I wasn’t sure where I was when I woke up. But my shirt was covered in dried blood, and I couldn’t see out of my left eye.
