Chapter 27
The doorbell rang as Bette applied the finishing touches of make-up to her glowing skin. A slight frown crossed her face as she looked at the clock on the nightstand closest to her side of the bed.
The doorbell rang once more, eliciting a groan from Bette as she slipped one of her diamond hoop earrings into her earlobe. The person on the other side of the door was obviously impatient, leaving little doubt who the guest would be.
“I’ll get it,” Bette called out to an oblivious Tina.
Tina continued to apply her own make-up, thankful for the lighting in the master bathroom, which made it easier to see her results. Bette walked by the bathroom and continued down the hallway, groaning as the doorbell sounded once more.
“I’m coming,” Bette called out as she unlocked the door and opened it to find Alice standing on the porch with her arms crossed over her chest.
“Principle Porter,” Alice said with a grin. “Don’t you look amazing tonight?”
“Thank you Alice,” Bette said sincerely as Alice scoffed and passed by Bette quickly to enter the house.
“I’m sure that’s why we had to stand out there for like…” Alice paused for dramatic effect as Tasha followed her inside. “Like 10 minutes.”
“It was not 10 minutes,” Bette chuckled as Alice sat down on the couch. “But by all means make yourself at home.”
“Mi casa es su casa,” Alice waved her hand on the air dismissively. “I hear that from TK all the time. When does this shindig get on the way?”
“In about 30 minutes,” Tina said as she appeared in the doorway.
Bette made no effort to hide the journey her eyes made from Tina’s hair, over her neck, down the rest of her body appreciating her wife’s efforts at primping for the night.
“Wow,” Tasha said as her mouth hung open. “You look amazing.”
Tina smiled as she smoothed her hands over her short, revealing black dress. She had coupled it with the perfect jewelry, most of it from Bette’s collection, and 4 inch black heels. Her eyes met Bette’s heated gaze and a smile crossed her face.
“You look…” Bette’s voice trailed off as words failed her to adequately express Tina’s beauty.

A part of being a good writer is knowing when you are finnished and then finnish. You seem to master this aspect completely and I am not surprised to this story wrapped up in this smooth and organic way. Well done and thank you for this story and any other story you may find fit to bless us with:-)

Bette and Tina have made them way back into each other’s lives will honesty and love. These gals are now sharing their hearts, souls and minds with each other. Awesome.
