    Control, an elusive thing, A dirty word dependant on how it manifests itself. In the beginning, I let you think its all about you and how you look. People say great things about you. I make you lie, hide things.

    Bette got out of the whirlpool and got dressed.

    “I need to do something nice for T” she thought.

    She called Luke and placed an order and gave them Tina’s address.

    “I want it delivered today,” she insisted.

    Walking to her bike, Kit called.

    “Hey” Bette said.

    “Hey baby girl, what are you doing today?”

    “Not much…Why?”

    “Daddy wants to see you.”

    But why

    “You know why…”

    Bette didn’t know for sure, but she did have a very good idea what it was about.

    “Ok…I will be there in 2 hours. I am going home first. I will see you when I get there.”

    “Ok…Hey baby sis, you know we will get thought this together, it will be ok.”

    “Thanks Kit, bye.”

    During the drive, she thought back to that day when she ran into the house, all ready to tell her mother about the A she got on her math test. When she went upstairs, her mom was on the floor in her room. She called her name and shook her but she did not respond. She called 911, crying into the phone for somebody to come help save her Mommy. They did come but it was too late. She had never felt so helpless in her life. Later Daddy said that she died from a aneurysm and nobody could have stopped it or known about it, again the helpless feeling. She ran into the bathroom, all her lunch was in the toilet. After that she felt better.

    Bette noticed that she was now home. She pulled into the parking garage and went to her apartment. Bette ran a bath, got out and grabbed the journal from under the bed. She started writing as a little girl, it always helped to put thing down on paper. She began to write in her journal.

    “Control, an elusive thing, A dirty word dependant on how it manifests itself. In the beginning, I let you think its all about you and how you look. People say great things about you. I make you lie, hide things. Soon I make you hate the very thing you need to live. You talk to doctors, friends, and succumb to hospital stays. But for every step forward to rid me, there seems to be a feeling of failure, which adds to the dangerous cycle. You can try, but you can’t get me out of your head. I may leave for a little while but I am always lurking ready to be in control again…”

I think its funny how you put the names of stuff in your chappys….ie.Applebees..why them out of couriosity? keep them coming girl, you are doing great! PPS

    7. That has got to hurt with the reading of the will after some time. The pain never goes away although it does lessen to some degree, but at times it does come rushing back like a large quick wave that knocks ones’ feet out from under her. I am sure that is how Bette and Kit are feeling right about now. Bette is so considerate with Tina and I hope that they can work out their issues.

    12. Wonderful chapter. Bette must be real big time to get M&M,s with T&T on them delivered exactly when she wants. Who got the other 1% of the record company? A longer chapter would be greatly appreciated.

    13. Something is going on with Bette and I wonder how its going to come out. The journal entry “written as a little girl” and where she stopped it. Nice gift from Bette to Tina. I don’t even eat chocolate, but if someone put my initial on M&M’s, I would make an exception. PPS.
