Tina suddenly knew why Bette was there and so distraughtshe glanced over at her pregnancy test still lying on the counter and Bette followed her gaze
Bette immediately saw what it washer heart beat quickened
Bette walked over to the counter and picked it upand looked at it
Tina looked at her expectantly waiting for her reaction
Bette whispered.
“It’s over..”
Bette’s hand trembled tremendously as she studies the stick she held in her hand. A million thoughts were running through Bette’s head at that precise second. Her eyes never leaving the white piece of plastic. The only words making sense were the last to words she had said. They were the only words she could comprehend.
After a few more seconds of staring at the results she suddenly felt compelled to repeat herself. This time a bit more audibly
Bette: Tina, It’s over
Her stomach felt queasy in that moment as she repeated those words once more. She immediately felt her own face grow pale. She had her back towards Tina and couldn’t bring herself to turn around and face her, and whisper those words to her face.
She lowered the stick shakily to the counter and gripped the edge of the counter to steady herself and to try and maintain her balance. She suddenly felt extremely weak in the knees.
She hung her head in defeat-afraid to turn around and face the love of her life. She took a deep breath urging herself to be strong and to have the courage to face TinaShe felt her eyes begin to well up and a single tear rolled down her cheek. She squeezed her eyes shut trying her hardest to not allow any more tears to fall and spill out.
Before she could turn around Tina had approached her from behindshe felt Tina embrace her body and her slender arms wrapped themselves around her waist.
The tears that had threatened to fall earlier and she so desperately tried to hold in now fell freely down her face. She was unable to stop them no matter how hard she tried.
As Tina squeezed Bette closer to her body, trying to comfort her a familiar chill ran down Bette’s spine. A feeling she had was now accustomed too and had never before experienced until her time spent with Tina.

Okay, I can see it’s going to take a while for our girls to get to a place where they will be civil with each other. I definately understand where Tina’s coming from. I was hoping Bette would be stronger, but being in love, is so new to her, that she just doesn’t know how to react. I’m counting on some kind of reconciliation somewhere, a few chapters from now. Are you going to hold out on us, for awhile, again?! Hope not!
