    Hindsight – Chapter 29

    Main Entry: hindsight
    Pronunciation: ‘hIn(d)-"sIt
    Function: noun

Meaning:  understanding the nature of an event after it has happened

"Hindsight is always better than foresight"

    “I love you too…”

Fuck, she stopped walking, she is turning around, fuck, did she hear me… Fuck… Fuck… Fuck   What the hell was I going to say to her, I couldn’t just come out and say it… could I…, how could I tell her I loved her more now than I had ever done… how could I tell her that after what I had put her through…?

“What did you say…?” she said, her eyes couldn’t seem to focus on me, they looked alive, and full of… hope…, hope in what she thought I had said… I knew now that she really did hear me…

“Uh… nothing…, I didn’t say anything…”  I couldn’t help but stumble over my words, I couldn’t just come out and say it again, not when she was looking at me like that…

“T… come here…,” I didn’t move when she said those words, my heart began to pound, I saw how her eyes pleaded with me to go to her, she always used her eyes, why did she always do that, she knew I could never resist when she looked at me a certain way…, her voice now matched her eyes, “…please…” she added quietly, I really couldn’t resist that pull…

I got up off the blanket, I’m not sure how, I felt light headed, my heart was pounding and she was just looking at me, those eyes were boring into me with more intent than I can remember, she definitely hadn’t looked at me with such intensity since I came to see her last night, but then… she hadn’t declared she would love me forever either…

That is what she had said… her feelings would never change; she would love me… forever… Forever is a long time, did she know I would l love her forever too, I’m sure she would know that… wouldn’t she…?

I walked to her slowly, she turned as I got to her and we walked with Angelica to the swings, I watched as she placed Angelica into the baby swing and gave her a gentle push, she turned to me then, as I knew she would, I had been trying to take deep breaths, to calm my racing heart, but it wasn’t working, I couldn’t help but feel the pull from how she was looking at me…, kept looking at me…

    1. Bloody right, Tina. Time to stop living the lie, and start *really* living. I’m still a bit giddy from the last chapter, and well, it’s carrying over to this one. More, Jo. As soon as, please.

    2. Too short, but oh, it was worth it. You got that right Tina, time to go tell Henry bye, bye, and get back to where you belong. Jo, could you go write for IC.

    3. There never was an escape, Tina. You can’t get away. Oh god, the Porter zone! Do they sell day passes for that place yet? Sigh, oh well… So lovely. So hopeful. Makes NY so happy. Thanks, Jo!

    4. It took her long enough, but Tina has finally realized she has found her everything!. Enough of hiding from her true love. Glad to see her making her way home.

    5. Hark! The Truth has been spoken! Frankly it’s still a little difficult to fathom exactly how Tina got her head so completely and utterly up her ass, but she’s pulled it out now, so good for her.

    6. Finally Tina came to her senses!!! (doing a happy dance!) it was worthy all the time that Bette have been living because at the end she will have her Tina back

    7. Jo, More hope and heartache. Good to read that Tina is believing in her heart again and following it to a point. After everything that these gals have been through some good old fashioned chatting has been long over due. Being open and honest with yourself is the first step as then you can follow through with others. Getting your head around it all does take time and effort. I think that Tina will appreicate Bette’s support and comforting however she knows that only she can sort it out. Bette has been wonderful as she sees a glimmer of hope and is heartened by it but also willing to give Tina the reins in dealing with their current situation. Your wise words just flow and rock your reader. Wonderful writing as always. Much Thanks for this chapter, Your Loyal Fan.
