    Wine and Dine

    Previously

    “Sweetheart, you’re chilled,” Bette sweetly noticed. “Let’s go inside. We can talk over dinner. I made lasagna.”

    “I know. It smelled divine,” I remarked as I stood.

    “I know you love Italian,” Bette said, as we gathered up the blanket and unfinished wine.

    “That’s it, Darling!” I cried out, receiving an inspiration.

    “What’s what?” Bette said, taking my hand.

    “Italy! That’s where I want to go first! To peruse and steep myself in the grand art of Italy!”

    Chapter 8

    I lifted a bite of lasagna to my lips. The mozzarella rose in a long, smooth string from the plate to my fork.

    Bette laughed, reaching across the table. With a twisting motion, she curled the white, delectable ribbon around her forefinger and raised it to greet my outstretched tongue.

    I sucked the Italian delicacy from her flesh with a gentle scrape of my teeth and, closing my eyes, wrapped my tongue around her appendage. Bette moved her finger in and out from my mouth as I absorbed the flavor.

    When she pulled her hand away, I opened my eyes and we smiled at each other.

    “Darling, you make the best lasagna in the world,” I complimented.

    “You just like sucking on my finger and making me crazy,” Bette replied with a low laugh.

    She reached beneath the table and rubbed her palm lovingly over my knee.

    I licked my lips seductively and inquired, “Don’t we have a nice bottle of Sangiovese somewhere in the house?”

    Grinning broadly, Bette pushed her chair from the table.

    “Baby, you are getting so good!” she remarked as she headed towards the wine cooler in the kitchen. “That’s an excellent pairing.”

    “Like us,” I smiled.

    Bette turned to look over her shoulder at me. “Yes, Sweetheart, just like us.”

    I took another bite of Bette’s fare and leaned back in my chair as I savored the taste, although I impatiently awaited her return.

    Momentarily Bette reappeared and, playing the role of grand sommelier, stood to my right.

    “Madame,” she said with a grin, displaying the bottle of wine over her left arm with a white side towel and wielding a waiter’s corkscrew in her right hand, “your 2005 Sangiovese from Tuscany.”

I know I know I have no right to speak since Ive become a bo-shipper now lol, I should get started on BeLena asap. Any way great chapter dear and imptiently awaiting the next one. And what a nice ” mise-en-bouche ” ( OK, sorry about the pun ), I mean what a tasty appetizer this chapter was for what’s coming !… It’s a real pleasure to see you didn’t lose any of your writing skills ( mind you, not that I’m surprised ). Please, post again soon, you gave us appetite for more as well ( lol ! ).

    9. Careful who you call a ho there. Welcome back zheese, it’s been too long. Ah, yes, vino. I suspect Bette and Helena are drinking slighty better vintages than I usually get my hands on. And I’m more of a red head. But if they offered (wine?), I don’t think I’d turn it down.
