Its been three days since Carmen came to Shane’s house for lunch. Shane hasn’t seen or heard from her since. She tries calling her phone but noone ever answers. Shane has been going insane since that day. She barely eats and hasn’t slept. That day just keeps replaying in her mind. Did she miss something? Was Carmen trying to tell her something that she just didn’t want to hear? But every time she thinks about it she remembers the way Carmen looked at her and she knew Carmen still loved her. Maybe it was too soon she thought to herself yeah definitely too soon. She didn’t know when the time would be right. Maybe there will never be a right time. Alice kept calling her and Shane wouldn’t answer. She didn’t want to hear Alice’s response after she told her about Carmen. She knew Alice would think she was an idiot. So after many unanswered Alice took matters into her own hands. So she drove over to Shane’s. As Shane sat on the couch wrapped up in her own thoughts she heard a knock at the door. She got excited thinking it was Carmen. But when she opened the door she felt a little dissapointed.

 “Hey Shane, nice to see you’ve been answering my phone calls.” “Yeah well I’ve been busy”

“With what?” “Nothing I’ve just been doing a lot of thinking.”

 “Oh I see and this would have nothing to do with Carmen right?”

 “Fuck Al, I don’t know what to do. Yesterday she came over for lunch and something happened” “Oh God Shane please tell me you didn’t fuck her”

 “No, no we just kissed and it was amazing but than she just made some lame excuse and took off” “And your surprised? Shane you fucking left her without a word you took off for 4 months and all of the sudden you back in town and she’s supposed to come running into your arms?

 “No that’s not what I thought at all, I didn’t even think of getting her back until I came back to this house. I guess I thought I could live without her but I cant”

 “Shane im sorry for being cruel but you have to realize that Carmen just lost the two people who mean the most to her in the world. I don’t know if you can recover from that. I mean when I lost Dana I felt so lost and angry I just couldn’t deal with it”
