Hi there. After watching the last episode of season one of
“The L-word” some ideas came up in my mind and I decided
to write down my thoughts concerning the future of the relationship between Marina
and Jenny.
Well this is what might have happened after Marinas call to
Jenny

Happiness seems just one call away

Jenny lay with Robin and Gene and thought about them telling her that they might leave after Marinas call. But she had told them that she didnt want neither of them to leave and they had stayed. Now in the middle of the night Jenny lay awake and looked at the sleeping Gene and Robin next to her. The moonlight reached to her bedside and created a rather unreal sight.
Jenny got up and went straight to the window. Her eyes wandered to the sky, where the moon now hid behind dark clouds. After Marinas call her mind had raced, but she had decided to really think before acting on impuls. Marina had hurt her very much, although Jenny could not deny, that she still felt strongly about Marina. On the other hand she was now happy to be with
Gene and Robin and she didnt want to send them away. She felt comfortable around them and this was quite what she now needed the most. People whom she could trust and not having to fear any betraying the next minute. But nevertheless she couldnt forget about Marinas voice at the telephone, never had she sounded so vulnerable and needing, not at all the strong, self- conscious woman that had taken such efforts to make her fall in love.
What might have happened if she had called Marina right back, would they be back together again? Would she be happy again? Now that Marina had confessed that she had fallen in love with Jenny. The moon shone bright now, the clouds had passed and Jenny felt the need to sit down and write. Maybe writing could calm her and help her figure out, what she should do next. All she had wanted the passed few weeks was to get over the hurting, but she couldnt forget all that had happened with Marina. Smiling she remembered her coming out story to the girls at the party. Marina was right, she had opened her mind, given way to new possibilities. Being with Tim was comforting, he was the one keeping her safe, but the ghost
in her had only be released by Marina.
Letting her mind drift, Jenny didnt realise the knocking outside her door. The sound repeated and Jenny looked up hesitantly. Maybe it was Tim? But did he tell he would be away for some days at a swimming event, didnt he? Could it be Marina? She got up and went to the door. The curtain before the door, hid the person standing in front of the door. Slowly Jenny approached the door.
It was 3o clock in the morning. She took the doorhandle and opened “I had to see you” a very familiar voice told her…
