    Great Unexpectations Chapter 19

    Previously…

After Bette and Tina left, Richard and Faye exchanged confused looks. "Well, that was odd. They left rather quickly wouldn’t you say?", Faye asked.

"You didn’t ask them", Richard said with a slight hint of admonition. In any other employer-employee relationship this would be inappropriate.

However, Faye and Richard had developed something of a mother-son bond over the last year and she quickly forgave the tone.

"I hardly had the chance", she chuckled. "Besides, it’s not time yet. It’s too soon."

"Time is not something we really have the luxury of at this moment", he reminded her, trying to hide his reddening eyes. It was a futile attempt. Even if she were not looking at him, she would be able to sense his concern by the quaver of his voice. She simply patted his arm in comfort, saying nothing.

Beginning to surrender to her exhaustion, Faye excused herself to her room for the night. Richard returned to his office for a few more hours of monitoring his various computer screens and scanners. On his way he passed the other room that Bette had accidentally looked in. The door was still open. He did not look in. He did not see what Bette saw. There, hung on the wall opposite the door was a large frame. In the large frame was a print of a nestled spotted fawn.

    Chapter 19.

Bette and Tina walked to the car in silence, holding hands. Bette was still lost in thought and Tina was slightly bewildered at the sudden change in Bette’s demeanor. Also mildly disappointed that they didn’t get the opportunity to get to know the cabinetry of the master bath on a somewhat intimate level. Before they separated to enter their respective doors, Tina pulled Bette close with a smile. "Shouldn’t we at least make out on Faye’s lawn?"

Bette looked at Tina’s bitten bottom lip and raised eyebrows and couldn’t help but to laugh. "You are a trouble maker, Tina", she teased, leaning into the soft warm kiss that awaited her. Their lips met and opened . Tina’s tongue slipped into Bette’s mouth while Tina’s arms pulled her closer. Bette was soon a victim of throbbing loins and shallow breaths, moaning lowly as she squeezed Tina’s behind. Tina moistened immediately and moaned as well.

    1. Hey everybody. I don’t know why this is 8 pages. it should have only been about 3 or 4. I think the site is skimping on words per page or something. I’m sorry if you saw the 8 and were mislead to think it would be a longer read. out of my hands. -Red.

    2. Redhorse, can I just say that you are one of the cruelest people I’ve ever met(?)!! Here I was thinking I would finally have the answer to what Faye really wanted and no longer am I searching for closure on that one. I am also now searching for closure on Bette withholding her thoughts/fears from Tina! JK. I love this story, PPS!

    3. Oh that’s ok Red, I loved the idea of getting 8 pages of this story. What the hell does the fawn mean. Have I missed something or am I just too tired to think. At any rate, Bette is in a hell of a lot of trouble with Tina and she had better explain quickly. With flowers, candyb and champagne. Tina is pissed and been crying to boot. PPS

    4. Red, you’ve got me so intrigued. I must say that Bette’s dream sucked, but Bette should have just told Tina everything. Tina would be relieved to hear what is actually wrong, because I’m sure that what Tina’s imagination has come up with is much worse. Here’s a big thank you that is owed to S! and another thank you to you red! Can’t wait for more!

    5. What an excellent chapter! Thank you. By the way, I thump using my middle finger and thumb. Have I been doing it wrong my whole life? I think I have alot more power that way.

    6. Just loved the sprinkler scene… too funny. I’m no closer to figuring Faye out and must say that this peeping-Tom act she’s got going on is a bit creepy. What’s with her watching B&T?? Guess I’ll have to wait for the reveal… Love your story Red.

    7. OK great chapter, but Bette better get it together quickly and let Tina in on whatever it is before the drama starts for them again. We really need to know what FB is up to so please don’t make us wait to long.

    8. I see those two going through a rough time soon unless the waves can be smoothed out. I can understand Bette’s dilemma but she somehow needs to say something to Tina. Bette’s dream really was weird and scary.

    9. Bette had better get Faye figured out… else Shane’s going to have to do a lot of ass-smacking. And LOL @ the “emergency bagel”… I have a freezer full of “emergency food”. Loved the chapter, red. Thanks

    10. excellent chapter. bagels with freezer burns. painful. the dream was too. so far, bette has been able to overcome her various mind hurdles, so she should be able to deal with this one as well. or fear more freezer burns and shane’s boot. thanks!

    11. Your stories are just so much fun….Spinklers, flicking Alice in the head, frozen bagels, and smacked in the a** to mention a few of the key moments. I have no idea where the Faye thing is going but am enjoying the ride to find out…of course, this is only because I have faith in the APW. (She will help Bette fix it, before she screws up. Right?)

    12. Poor Bette. She’s terrified of disappointing Tina, but she’s doing just that by not communicating. The sprinkler scene was a hoot! Can’t wait for the big reveal.
