    Jeanie and Tina leave…Dana turns to Alice…

    Dana: “does Bette know what she’s doing?”

    Alice: “yeah…she has it covered”

    The gang head back into the club…

    Bette’s house…That night…

    Carla pulls up in front of the house…She turns off the car and looks over at Bette…

    Bette: “thanks for the ride”

    Carla “your welcome…so…are you gonna tell me why you left or would you rather not speak of it at the moment…”

    Bette: “I’d rather not talk about it…”

    Bette unbuckles her seatbelt and opens the door…Carla places her hand on her shoulder…

    Carla: “wait…what’s the rush?”

    Bette: “I have to work tomorrow…besides it’s late…I should get going”

    Carla: “why do you seem so hesitant around me?”

    Bette: “Carla…you know why…so please don’t ask questions like you don’t know…”

    Carla: “okay…fine…have it your way…”

    Bette: “thanks…goodnight…I have to go…”

    Bette exits the car and shuts the door…She heads next door towards her place…Carla rolls the window down and says…

    Carla: “what are you doing tomorrow after work?”

    Bette: “nothing…why?”

    Carla: “lets go somewhere…”

    Bette: “I don’t know…I think it’s a bad idea”

    Carla gets out the car and walks over to Bette’s porch…

    Carla: “what’s with you?…is something bothering you?”

    Bette: “no…I’m fine”

    Carla: “really…well…you aren’t acting like it…everytime when I try to ask you out to do something…you act like you can’t…your not timid…are you?”

    Bette: “of course not…I just…I’m not ready to start dating yet…I just need some time…”

    Carla: “Bette…I never said that I wanted to marry you…I’m just saying that I wanna take you out…just you and me…alone…maybe we can ah…catch a movie or something…”

    Bette: “I don’t know…but…I’ll think about it…okay?”

    Carla: “brillant…you think about it and let me know…here’s my number…call me when you decide…goodnight…”

    Bette: “goodnight…”

    Carla walks away and disappears through the trees…Bette looks the number over and shakes her head….She enters her house and cuts the lights on…She jumps back when she sees Tina…

    Tina: “where have you been?”

    Bette: “I’ve been out…why do you care…remember we’re no longer together…”

    Bette heads into the kitchen and Tina follows her…

    Tina: “don’t turn your back on me…”

    Bette: “why not…your not ready for me…you don’t want me…and then after a week of sitting her and wondering how the ***** you are…all of a sudden when you stress level lowers then you head out to the club…a ***** one at that…so what I should be saying is what were you doing there?”
