    Chapter 68 – Desperation

    cerned that is all it is your fantasy.  I do not now or ever again want to have any
    type of relationship with you.  You just
    are not that good.

     

    With that Tina leaves the stage and heads towards Jackie as
    she will now have to make so sort of excuse to get out of here and go find
    Bette.

    Alice
    had finished gathering the last of her quotes when she went looking for Bette.  Alices
    intention was to get Bette to intercede with the Reverend Pillary.  Alice
    thought she might be able to get him to open up with Bette assistance.  Looking around Alice caught sight of Bette as she was making
    her running out of the hall.  Turning see
    what had made her run, Alice sees Tina
    disentangling herself from Helena.  Seeing the rigid set to Tina and the way she
    was waving her finger in Helenas face, Alice figured that Helena
    must have done something.  God what has Helena done to Bette? Alice says as she tries
    to now catch up with Bette.  Alice turns and immediately runs for the door trying to
    catch Bette but all she is able to see is Bette getting into a cab as Alice is left calling her
    name.

     

     

    Chapter 68 – Desperation

     

    As the cab pulled away from the Old Train Station, all
    Bette could see was the image of Tina wrapped in Helenas arms.  Tina actually enjoyed it.  I could tell by the look in her eyes.  She does want Helena. 
    Oh My God, I AM that comfortable old shoe.  She wants me around just for Annas
    sake.  The closer the cab got to Bettes
    apartment the more compound these thoughts where becoming as Bettes mind was
    firing at the speed of light.  The final
    thought that Bette seemed locked on was Was this how Tina felt when she saw me
    with Candace?  The look in Tinas eyes
    is what Bette couldnt get out of her mind.

     

    Bette paid the cabby and slowly rode the elevator to her
    floor.  Being in Tina and Annas life had
    been everything to Bette but was that something she could continue if Helena was back in the
    picture?  Once Bette entered her
    apartment she immediately went to the second bedroom/office.  Sinking to the floor, Bette sat down in the
    middle of the room, surrounded by the many pictures of Anna and Tina, and broke
    down sobbing.  At this moment Bette knew
    she didnt have enough strength to go back to being a positive influence in
    their lives from a far, deep in the background. 
    Knowing this Bette also knew she wouldnt stand in Tinas way to
    happiness if that happiness truly was with Helena.

    1. Yay, Tina! Go get your woman! Once Tina gets in there, she’ll see the second bedroom/office and will figure things out and through her anger, she’ll see Bette’s true love for her and Anna. Then, it’ll be Helena, who?

    8. And she huffed and she puffed and she blew the house down! Keep knocking Tina, it will either annoy Bette enough to open the door or just the sheer force will take the door off of its hinges.

      Alice is just plain exasperating. Nosy and self-centered. Aurgh! Leave things alone. Tina needs a friend, not a reporter at the moment.

      Communication is not Bette or Tina’s strongest suit, is it? Hopefully those two will be able to have a civil, open and honest conversation and clear the air so they can move forward. It might hurt at first to lay their souls bare, but they will be the better for it in the end. They need to move beyond From Afar and get Up Close and Personal!

      Great story. I like the ‘come here, go away’ aspect of it – but I am waiting for a little more ‘come here’ to happen soon. *wink*

    13. How can one person consistently do so many things well? Angst, passion, comedy, drama…. name it, and Jwet writes it to perfection. I read this and literally screamed out loud, “open the freaking door Bette!” When the written word involks such a reaction, it’s better than good, it’s a classic.

Tina keeps asking herself why Bette ran away…does it not register in her brain that her being on stage being groped by the monster in front of everyone to see especially Bette could have a negative effect on Bette. C’mon, no one wants to see their wife/lover being groped by their arch nemesis! And Bette, she shouldn’t jump to conclusions! She really needs to talk to Tina and asking her what she really wants to happen between them two. Lovin’ the chapter Jwet!! Update soon please!

      I can’t wait to see what happens next !! My heart is beating so fast right now . I am so ready for their ” Talk ” . hehehe ;)LOL
      I think Tina needs to calm down a little bit cuz anger never helps anyone . And they can’t possibly Talk and discuss everything out if they get angry and let their emotions and insecurities get the better of them . Also blaming each other is not going to help but it will only make matters worse . They have come such a long way in these past few days . They have to keep that in mind and have a heart to heart talk . They each , just need to let the other in and then they will realise how much they love and want each other . And they need to stop being so stubborn . They need to let go completely and lay it all out on the table and stop assuming and speculating about the future and their relationship .
      I really hope they work it out :) . And I am sure that they will .

      Oh the angst and anguish in this chapter is palpable. I can physically feel the desperation and heart-ache of both Bette and Tina. These gals do need to sit down and let their thought and feelings out; Sharing is caring and builds trust and understanding.
      As a fan from the beginning I realise that you are building up to this latest showdown. It is due to your talent and virtuosity that this story continues to pull in the crowds and satisfies all readers. I am split in two because I want to see what happens between these wonderful souls while also not wanting it to end. I know that you will continue to develop this story into a true tour de force. Keep up the fabulous, fantastic and phenomenal effort that breaths life into this chronicle.

      How sis Bette get a cab so easily? Pulled up her dress to reveal a little skin? When will that ACME anvil fall on Alice and knock some sense in to her head? Beep, beep! Can Helena please take a long walk off a short pier? Pretty, pretty please? Or at least be charged with assault! When did Tina become the Hulk? Has Harrison been taking her to the gym for a couple of rounds with Tyson? Does she pound “A Shave and Haircut” on the door? What kind of door does Bette have?
