    Chapter 10 – Exit Helena

    Thank you so much for making the time to come so quickly and get this visit in Tina says to the woman sitting on her couch. The woman sitting on the couch was Miss Jentry, Coordinator from the au pair program and she had been sitting here for about an hour running through her list of expectations and needs for the young au pairs. Explaining that they are young woman, many whom are leaving their homes and families for the first time, just what Tina could expect as to set the expectation appropriately.

    Tina had given the woman a tour of the house and what would be the extra room which Tina had set up for the invited guest. Having gone through all the details the interview was almost complete when Helena entered that house.

    Ah there you are Tina, who may this be? Helena asked looking right through the woman.

    Helena this is Miss Jentry from the Care from Au Pair Agency. She is here to inspect the house and surroundings to see if I would be appropriate for an au pair to come here. Tina explains to Helena.

    Helena just narrows her eyes as this is the first she has heard of this being Tinas wish in the area of daycare. Recovering quickly Well Im sure you are making a wonderful impression isnt she Miss Jentry? Helena asks as she flashes Miss Jentry a full electrifying smile.

    Yes, I think this would make a perfect situation for an au pair. I was just reviewing what expectations Tina should have as these girls get situated in a new environment and what our expectations are in caring for your au pair. I believe that should complete everything, do you have any other questions at this time? Miss Jentry asks looking at Tina.

    Just as Tina was about to respond the door bell rings.

    Excuse me a moment. Tina says as she moves towards the door. Leaving Helena and Miss Jentry to just stare at each other.

    There is an UPS delivery driver standing at the door with a package in his hand as Tina opens the door. Hello, Tina Kennard?

      But I still think that Tina should at least give a thought to what might be behind door #3 (and then she can get back with Bette, I’m a traditionalist at heart.)

      Such great lines in this one.. “the realization that the biggest snake in the world just walked out of her house.” and the closing line melted my heart (sigh..)

    24. Okay I just caught up on the story and I love it. I am a dork so I wrote comments on all the previous chapters too. You know Bette kind of reminds me a little of just giving Tina another road to follow on a map that otherwise that road wasn’t there, but it has always been Tina’s decision to take whatever path she’s been on. So even though Bette is building things in the background Tina has always been given the choice to choose her own way, Bette just knows her so well to know what she would want. I think that is real love.
