Dana jumped back, Alice?

Alice slowly crawled out from underneath dropping the wine bottle and movies on the floor. Alice finally looked over at her friend who was obviously worried about her.

Dana whispered, Are you ok?

Alice rubbed her head one last time and looked at her hand to make sure there was no blood., Im fine.

Alice then got serious and looked at her friend closely, Who were you talking to Dana?.

Dana swallowed hard and knew she couldnt lie anymore, but she could change the subject, What were you doing underneath the cart Al? I thought you met a girl?

Alice tried to play along with Dana since she noticed Dana was getting uneasy, that was your surprise Dane, didnt you read the note?

Dana looked up with a little jealousy in her eyes, Well, wheres the girl then?

Alice smiled a little, It was a joke Dana, YOU were the girl, did you really think I was going to leave you alone on this trip??

Dana lost her nerve and realized she couldnt face Alice right now, ok,well, Im going to go find another room, see ya Al.

Alice grabbed Danas arm and pulled her back into the room, Nuh Uh, I think we need to talk, I think I heard you say to whoever it was on the phone that you were in love with me.

Dana turned around to face her friend who had an unreadable expression on her face. Dana didnt know what to say, she knew that whatever it was she wanted to say would come back in some terrible rejection from her best friend, so she said all she could say, Alyou heard all you need to hear, and with that said I already know what you want to say so I am going to go find another room, theres nothing more to talk about.

Alice scoffed at Danas remark, The ***** there isntyou just told someone you were IN LOVE WITH ME!.

Dana was caught, what if I told you I was talking about another Alice?.

Alice was getting frustrated, Dana, what other ***** Alice would you know?.

Dana gave up, I dont know just thought Id give it a try.

Alice was calming down a bit with more emotion starting to flow through her, Look Dana dont be afraid of me, just come here and lets talk about it.

Dana dropped her head, Im not afraid of you AlIm afraid of what youre going to say.

Alices face softened at the admission her best friend had laid before her, How do you know what Im gonna say?

Dana scoffed back, AL, come on, youre my best friend, when a best friend finds out her best friend is in love with her, she runs away because there arent mutual feelings, and thats whatd going on here, I know you dont feel about me the same way, so why cant we just drop itI need to find another room so I can slowly crawl back into my best-friend loving closet.

Alice saw the pain and love in Danas eyes as she stared down at the floor. Dana noticed a silence and before she could walk away from it she felt Alice move closer to her and place a finger under her chin to make Danas face look at hers.

Alice softly whispered looking intently into Danas soft eyes, What if I told you I could prove all of what you just said wrong?.

Dana wasnt sure what her friend meant by that, she saw Alices lips form into a small smile, as Danas eyebrows arched into a confused look, she let out an emotional and questioning, What? What do you mean by that Al?.
