    Tina stood up and looked Stacey right in her eyes. Take me to my wife. With that she walked past Stacey towards the Trauma doors. Stacey quickly followed with a Yes in her head..

    Before Stacey let Tina enter the room she placed her hands on Tinas shoulders. Bette does not look like herself Tina. It is worse than the last time. There is a lot more stuff hooked up to her and you will hardly be able to see her face. Because of the pressure on her brain there is a cover over the incision area. I need you to put these gloves and gown on for Bettes protection.

    Tina nodded her head and did as she was told. Once dressed she entered the room. Stacey held on to Tina. God knows this is going to be a horrible shock for Tina.

    Tina walks up to Bettes bed ignoring all the sounds of machines. She takes Bettes left hand ever so gently into her own. She places Bettes hand over her belly.

    Tina: Bette this is your daughter you feel. She is telling you that she needs you. Bette do you hear me! Cole said you have to take care of us. Are you going to break your promise again. You promised Cole. Our baby boy that you would take care of us. Protect us. If you leave us Bette you break all promises.

    Tina doubled over in pain and Stacey grabbed her from behind. Tina what is it? Are you ok? Tina stood straight again. Yes Stacey I am fine.

    Taking Bettes hand again to her belly. Bette do you feel this? This is your daughter and she is one PISSED off baby right now. She is doing kick boxing lesson on my kidneys. Do you feel her Bette?

    The monitor went off above the bed.

    Stacey: Tina, I know this may sound crazy. But tell me each time the baby kicks.

    Tina looked at Stacey like she had lost her mind. Now Tina said. The monitor went off again. Each time the baby kicked Bette felt it and the monitor showed her response.

    7. This story is remarkable. And it is important that you show us all the NEED to get Durable Power of Attorney if partnered. I had to experience this first hand and it is an ordeal no one can anticipate.
