Bette was pretty confident that she was reading the signs properly, and edged closer to Tina, so their lips were only inches apart.

Neither one had still said a word to each other.

Tina, getting lost in the moment surprised Bette; she grabbed Bettes face in both hands, leaned in and kissed her. She kissed Bette with more passion than she had kissed anyone in her entire life. Bette instinctively kissed back. As soon as their lips touched it felt like there was no one else in the entire world but the two of them.

Bette got a little bolder and ran her tongue along Tinas bottom lip requesting permission to enter.
Tina hesitantly welcomed the request and parted her lips. Soon their tongues were intertwining with each other, exploring every inch of each others mouths, both women feeling the passion and desire course through their bodies. Bette pulled Tinas body in closer and further deepened the kiss.
Tina was thinking to herself, now this is how a kiss should feel like!

Soon breathing had become an issue, so slowly they broke away from the kiss, feeling the cold air pass between their lips, as though they were missing each others touch almost immediately.

Their eyes found each others again and Bette was first to speak.

Bette: Wow Tina that was

Tina: ..amazing.

Yeah, Bette said a little breathless

Tina: Sorry. I just had to see what that felt like.

Bette: It was my pleasure believe me.

Bette leaned in and seductively whispered into Tina ear, Ive been thinking about doing that ever since you came to my rescue.
Bettes breath on Tinas ear lobe sent a shiver down her spine.

Bette still had Tina around the waist and Tinas arms were wrapped around Bettes neck.

They both stared at each other again.

Bette, How about we get out of here and go somewhere and talk.

Tina: I think thats a good idea. I know the perfect place.

Bette: O.K. lets go, Ill drive and Ill bring you back later to pick up you car.

Tina: O.K. If you dont mind driving?

Bette: Of course not. Come on lets get out of here

Bette opened the gallery door for Tina, following her out, whilst admiring her assets. Damn she is hotter than I even imagined Bette thought

Bette: By the way Im sorry I just noticed, but I want to tell you how incredible you look.
Oh yeah, Tina thought Thats the response I wanted from this dress.

Tina blushed a little, Thanks Bette, you look pretty incredible yourself.
Did I just say that out loud, Tina thought?

The two of them got into Bettes car.

Bette: Where too, Ms Kennard?

Tina: Well Ms Porter, its a beautiful night. I thought we could drive up the coast. There is a great spot on the beach right near pier 15, we can sit, relax and talk there.

Bette: Sounds good to me.

On the drive over to the beach there was a comfortable silence. Both women were lost in their own thoughts.

Bette was thinking, this is my chance, shes interested all right, just dont scare her away Porter. God, just look at her, Ive never wanted anyone so much in all my life.

Tina was thinking, Oh my god. What am I doing? It just felt so right kissing her. I mean WOW. what a kiss. I believe I may be changing sides?

Bette broke the silence.

Bette: Tina.

Tina: Yeah Bette?

Bette: I didnt think you were going to come tonight?

Tina: I was all ready to, but an emergency came up at work.

Bette: Well Im glad you did eventually come. Better late than never.

Tina: Me too,. Bette..

Bette: Yes Tina?

Tina: I think I better tell you something before we get into any deep and meaningfuls.

Bette: Ok what is it? You can tell me anything Tina, trust me.

Tina: Well.Bette Im kinda straight with a boyfriend.

Bette smiled at the admission.

Bette: I thought as much when you sent back the R.S.V.P. for 2, but what do you mean by kinda straight?

Tina: Well Ive never been interested in a woman before. It was never even an issue until. I met you. Now I dont know

Bette took Tinas hand in hers. They had arrived at the beach. Lets just talk and take it one step at a time Ok.

Tina: (smiling) Ok.

Bette and Tina got out of the car and headed down the beach, both certain that at this moment theres no place theyd rather be.

Bette was following Tina down, to pier 15. She wanted to reach out and hold Tinas hand while they walked, but she didnt want to push. Steady on Porter, you dont want to scare her away. Bette told herself.

Both were again silent lost in their own thoughts, trying to collate what they were feeling.

A few minutes later they arrived at a little bench seat, right near the pier.
They were fortunate it was a beautiful spring night. On such a night as this, the full moon illuminated the water so they could see exactly where the ocean meets the sky, and all the colors mingle to form an image that could only be described as a precious work of art.

Bette: This is a beautiful spot Tina.

Tina: Yeah it is, isnt it. Whenever I need to get away or just think heres where I come.

Tina reached out her right hand grabbing Bettes left hand

Bette, pleasantly surprised by the gesture took Tinas hand into both of hers.

Tina: Bette, I dont even know where to begin?

Bette: Just go with what you feel. Be honest with yourself, and with me and you can decide how to proceed from there ok?

Tina: Okay Bette, here goes, please dont say anything until I finish. Otherwise I may loose my nerve.

Bette: Okay.

Tina was thinking to herself, wellhere goes nothing.

Bette had no idea what was coming. She knew Tina was interested in her, but the rest was still a mystery.

Tina: Bette Im really scared and excited at the same time. I feel like my hearts pulling me one way and my mind the other.
At first I thought our connection, it was just the adrenalin I was feeling, from the situation. But tonight I had a bad experience at work and for some reason you were the only person I wanted to see. I cant even explain that.
When I look into your eyes its like I can see your soul. Its like only the two of us exist in that moment. Ive never felt that before.
Ive always believed you cant help who youre attracted to and I have never been attracted to anyone more in my life. And the fact that you are a woman too and Ive never been with a woman before well it scares the ***** out of me.
I dont know what to do, but I cant deny this connection we seem to have, and when we kissed WOW. it was the most breathtaking kiss I have ever experience.
Im not sure how I feel or what I want, but I know I havent been able to get you out my head since the night of the fire.

Well thats it; Ive put it all out there, Tina looked over at Bette. She looked totally dumbstruck.

Tina: Please say something Bette?
