    She surprised me at how aggressive she was. She pinned me up against the kitchen table and kissed me deeply. In no time flat, she pulled off my blouse, unhooked and tossed aside my bra.

    Previously: Bette looked over at Rick who was standing impatiently across the room by the door tapping on his watch. She quickly said goodnight, excused herself and joined him. As they left, they appeared to be having a heated discussion over whatever was troubling Rick. I was starting to not really like that guy. Carmen interrupted my thoughts, “What is Bette going to do to you? Or rather the question is what would you like Bette to do with you?”

     

    Chapter 23

    I smiled and shook my head at my mischievous friend and answered, “Carmen, you would have to go there, wouldn’t you? We are working out together next Saturday. Do you want to join us? Maybe if there are two of us she will go a little easier. Tina has been working out with her and apparently she’s pretty tough.”

    “It sound intriguing, in a sweaty tight-fitting, spandex kind of way, but I think I’ll pass on that one.” She looked at me with tongue in cheek and a sarcastic grin. “So what’s your real intention with Dr Porter?”

    I glared at her, “To workout with her and nothing more. We are just getting to know each other. We had talked about working out together weeks ago. She’s just following up with me.”

    “Uh, Huh!” She responded sarcastically.

    “That’s it Carmen. Friends! That’s all I have for anyone right now.”

    She looked at me and studied my eyes. I suppose to see if I was telling her the truth and conceded. “That’s good. I think some down time would be good for you.”

    I looked over at Shane who seemed to be pouting across the room. “And what about Shane? She doesn’t look too happy right now.”

    She looked at Shane and shrugged her shoulders. “She might be upset because I didn’t let her get a free feel in the bathroom earlier. Now, she is anxious to take me home and have her way with me. I suspect, my talking to you is making her crazy, although she’ll never admit it. She likes to play the ‘nothing fazes me’ game.”

    I looked at Shane, then at Carmen and asked, “The real question is, what are your plans for Shane? I just don’t get the two of you. I don’t see you being viable for very long. But every time I turn around, there you are with her.”

    5. Well dang, Lara! Come on, Helena…aggressive and she cooks too! Seriously, I appreciate Helena’s honesty, but there are some crazies out there, so she may want keep it in her pants or at least have a conversation beforehand next time! Lol @ funnyone! I’m not sure how I feel about this wait till the weekend business! lol! Just kidding…PPS!

    6. IMO I think if Helena wants just sex she need to step outside of work. There’s nothing more trifling then running though your co-workers. I thought that was the whole point of a one nightstand so you don’t have to see them again. Pretty soon the rumor mill will start turning and she’ll be known as Helena the Ho. After 20 plus chapters I’m not any closer to understanding or liking Helena but I’m still holding out that the next 20 chapter will show that she can think with head and not with her vagina. I guess with 80 chapter she will have enough time to go to Oz, get a brain and make it back in time for her next rotation.

    7. I still say the Hel/Tin/Be threesome is good for everyone..Bette can stay secretly in the shell, Tina and Henry can live the delusion and Helena would have no strings attached. LOL

    8. So what does it mean that there is more drama ahead for my girls? Nevermind, I will be patient and enjoy the journey (furrowed brow) especially since you’ve hinted that the work out will be nothing to get our hopes up over…no fair teasing…anyway, loved the update…H is a trip!!!

Hey squirl-So yes I’m one of the crazy readers chomping at the bit to read about the Bette & Helena workout… I know it might not be what I’ve imagined in this crazy head of mine but I really don’t think you can go wrong with a sweaty Bette and Helena:-). Can’t wait for your post this weekend. In the meantime I’ll just reread this chapter…LOL

    10. So I’m going to be wishing for less drama between these two? Really? OMG!!! Bring it on woman!!! I feel as though my face is plastered up to the window, as I stare ahead, waiting impatiently for a glimpse into how hot these two will be. Although I have a feeling that my happiness will be short lived as I’m guessing that Bette is the second relationship that breaks Helena’s heart since my vote for Carmen was disqualified. I’m happy nympho Helena found some relief with Lara. Thank goodness that was only a one night stand. I definitely think Helena needs to take some time for self-reflection; oh and regular exercise with Bette would probably help in her recovery process too!

    11. aww now youre teasting us all.I think Carmen wants to have her cake and eat it also…So not good for Hels to be around her. As for Hels and Lara not a shock and im glad it was just a quick release. I dont see that Lara was that into Helena but was hoping maybe it wouldnt just be a one night stand. Loved the seperation of the chapters. All of them as good as one another. So I think we all wont get what we hope for with Bette and Hels run coming up but anything is better than nothing. Or is it? Time will tell!PPVS
