    Uh yeah…it’s about that kiss.

     

    The taste of Bette’s lips was like homecoming and that familiar comfort almost did her in.  It was the mixture of Bette’s longing kiss and the saltiness of her tears that brought Tina home.  She could vividly recalled holding Bette in such similar vulnerable state when her father spent his few last days at their home.  She brushed back Bette’s hairs in the same gentle manner and their kisses merged from the heartaches of past and present.

    “I’m sorry.” They whispered between tears and fused again in comfort.  The music was thumping all around but their heart beat in unison silent tempo.  The thin veil of privacy surrounded their space unable to shield that undeniable truth and the after taste of liquor only made their moment bittersweet.

    Her heart was breaking all over again watching Bette’s broken form.  It was tempting for her to fall completely into Bette but she knew better.  No one would blame them for what they both desperately aching for but should it be tempted?  The trail of deceit will haunted them.  What will become of Bette if she treaded the same murky water?  And who is she if not a hypocrite for doing unto another what has been done to her?  She had grown from that bottomless pit of misery and would not wish that on any one.

    “I’m sorry but we can’t do this.  I should leave before we commit any more mistakes.” Tina gently retreated from Bette’s hold and stated her decision.  Bette lowered her head to avoid looking back at Tina.  Tina lifted Bette’s chin up; wishing for Bette to not only hears what she was about to say but also witness it.

    “I love you and still in love with you but I’m also trying hard to move on.  If there’s any future for us we need to make it clear….to everyone.  We have too much at stake to go about it haphazardly.  I’ll wait for your decision…but don’t make me wait too long.”  Her hand reached up to gently wiped away the stray tears off Bette’s face, her thumb lingered with the desire to touch those lips again but chose not to.  A sad smile formed on her lips as she turned away, leaving Bette behind and walked out of the lounge.

    2. As much as I want it to go further Tina is right. They have to wait and if they end up together it is because they have worked out the other issues. Don’t forget your other story, please.

    5. Hello curioust, That was excellent, I love the maturity that you have shown within both Bette and Tina. I realize that is was Tina that stopped it and it was Tina that made to move to leave but this also shows how much Bette has evolved and grown. Very nicely done. Sincerely, JC

    8. Tina is abosolutely right. If they stand a chance it has to start with honesty. If Bette wants to be with Tina she first needs to fess up and end things with Jodi. 2-wrongs do not make it right.

    9. so happt that Tina had the intestinal fortitude to put the brakes on. They must do this openly and honestly or their reconnection does not stand a chance. Bette must break it offwith Jodi and I don’t think Jodi will care very much from her actions at Big Bear and the last episode as well. You can tell that she feels they have come to the end of their romance, and they never stood a chance anyway because the two of them are so different. Jodi wants to play, she is not serious and Bette wants a full commitment, family and all. Jodi could care less. I will be happy when Bette ends it and gets on with Tina and Angie. PPS
