    Author Notes:

    Bette tells the kids how she got Tina’s heart back from someone who never had it.

    Bette; Okay, well you know that your mother ran of to New York. I followed her out there with one intent.

    Kate: To win her back, right?

    Bette: that is right. See Helena might of had alot of money, but I had something she certainly didn’t.

    Jaime: What?

    Bette: I had the Porter charm and 7 years of memories with your mother before that.

    AJ: Okay, but how did you win back mom’s heat?

    Bette: I…. I let her know that I wasn’t mad at her and that I was willing to do whatever it took to win her back.

    Tina: I knew your momma meant what she said, I was just to selfish to realize that she was hurting more than I was.

    Graham: How was momma hurting more than you. I mean you suffered the miscarriage and then you had the affair.

    Bette: Your mother pushed me away after the miscarriage and I felt like I wasn’t enough for her. She didn’t want to even sleep in the same bed anymore. So I was sleeping in the guest bedroom and well we were more like roomates than a couple that had been married 7 years.

    Tina: I was a mistake to push your momma away, one that I will always regret making.

    Kate: So, momma did you steal mom’s heart all over again.

    Bette: Not exactly.

    AJ: Well you had to of or we wouldn’t be here, right?

    Bette: Right, but your mom is stubborn and hard-headed so it took a little longer than anyone antcipated.

    Jaime: Well you waited for her in New York right?

    Bette: No. I could only get two weeks off and me thinking that i could conqure the world didn’t think that it would take that long was in for a big suprise.

    Graham: So it took longer than two weeks.

    Tina: way longer than two weeks.

    Bette: Yeah, two weeks turned into a month, one month turned in to six and sixs months turned into a year.

    Bette: I loved your mother, so everyday I sent her something to let her know that I loved her and that I missed her. Obviously Helena wasn’t to keen on the idea and started to intercept them. So I got smart and decided that since I could make a difference in LA, that I was going to have to move to New York.

    Tina: no one told me that Bette was planning on moving to New York, so when I started seeing her at places that I went to I thought that I was going crazy.

    Bette: Peggy Peabody, Helena’s mother wasn’t to fond of her oldest child so she decided to help me out.
