1^st period flew by as the girls continued talking to each other also forgetting to do their work.

After second period went by it was time for lunch.

“So do I get to eat lunch with you or are you going to ditch me now?”

Bette laughs.

“How could I ever leave you behind Tina?”

Tina smiled at that.  Deep down Tina wished that statement meant forever because right at that moment she knew she was seriously crushing hard on Bette.

“Hey Tina since your permanently attached to my hip now I want you to meet my friends.”

“You mean I get to meet your actual friends now because ever since we left 1^st period all I’ve heard is “hey Bette”.  It’s like you’re a famous student.”

“Well you haven’t seen nothing yet. It gets worse at lunch.  Wait till you meet my friends.”

So they make their way to the lunch room and Tina follows Bette to a table.

“Hey BP.”

“Hey.”

“BP?” Tina asked.

“My whole named is Bette Porter. Get it B for Bette P for Porter, BP.”

“Yeah I got it.” Tina laughs.

“Hey Bette are you passing Chemistry cause I need some help I just failed my second test in there”, says Alice. Everyone laughs.

“Ummm yeah just come to my house later on I’ll see what I can do.”

“Thanks.”

“You know Bette’s smart ass will help you.  Shoot she’ll probably get your failing butt an A”, says Carmen.

“Ha Ha very funny.  Hey I want y’all to meet someone. This Tina she’s a new student.  She just transferred here from Boston.”

“Hey Tina.”  Everyone says in unison.

“Hi guys.”

“Tina this is Alice, Carmen, Shane, and Helena.”

“So how come none of you are eating?” Tina says.

“Oh we don’t like the cafeteria food plus we go somewhere and eat after school.  Why don’t you come with us we can show you around town. Since Bette hasn’t asked you yet”, says Helena.

“Well you didn’t really give me a chance.”

“Sure. I’ll come but I have to call my mom and ask for some money.”

“Don’t worry about it I got it.”  Bette says.

“No Bette I couldn’t ask you to do that. I mean I just met you. It will be too much money.”
