Bette called James from the car telling him to cancel the rest of her meetings for the day, this was more important she thought.
Tina was already waiting by the door as Bette got out of her car. She walked up to the blonde and unlocked the door.
“Do you want something to drink or eat?” She asked Tina as they stepped inside.
“No I’m good” Tina said walking over to the couch.
Bette followed her and sat down next to her.
Tina was studying her hands intently avoiding Bette’s eyes.
“Tina” Bette sighed taking one of Tina’s hands holding it between her hands “I’m sorry”
“For what?” Tina asked retracting her hand “Asking me to move in with you? Breaking up with me? Or maybe telling me my job is shit”
“Tina…I overreacted…I said a lot of things I regret”
”Bette… you threw an ultimatum at me like our relationship doesn’t mean anything to you”
“No Tina it means everything to me…everything” Bette whispered with tears in her eyes.
“You can’t just do that because you don’t get things the way you want them” Tina said angrily “You can’t just threaten to break up with me like that”
“I know… I’m sorry” Bette said looking down.
She looked up at Tina again “Please just forget what I said”
“I can’t do that Bette” Tina sighed.
“What I said about your job Tina I shouldn’t have I just…”
“You were right” Tina interrupted Bette.
“What?”
“I know my job is shit” Tina sighed “Last night when you said those things I got so upset because you hit a nerve…everything you said was true”
Bette looked at Tina not knowing what to say.
After a few minutes of silence Bette asked the one question she was afraid to ask.
“Are you still going to that dinner with Helena?” she asked quietly looking at Tina.
Tina looked at Bette before looking down at her hands “I don’t know”
“Please Tina just don’t…”
“Look Bette…let’s not get in to this again ok?”
“Fine” Bette sighed.
“So…what about us?” Bette asked hesitantly looking at Tina.
“I don’t know” Tina said quietly avoiding Bette’s gaze.
“What do you mean?” Bette said close to tears at the thought of losing her beautiful T.

Tina is kind of slow on the uptake here. She needs to really talk to Bette to see what is the real reason for the hate between the two

Great update. WTF Tina, have you lost your mind? You cancelled your appointment with helena and then you dance with her, that was stupid. You hesitated when she asked you to dance, that should have made you understand that you were not sure how it would have affected Bette and you should have said NO. Also you were tentative with Bette as well when you should have said YES to Bette and being back with her. Tina had better catch up with Bette and explain why she decided to dance with helena knowing full well that helena means harm to Bette always and any way she can and if she can get Tina involved that it would be that much more hurtful to Bette. Tina you need to get with the program of saying NO to helena and treating her like she is the peice of shit that everyone but you sees. Thanks for posting.
