Epilogue — Season of Love
“Yeah, I am,” Bette said looking back at her with a smile.
Tina answered Shane and Alice, “Okay. You guys know Bette and I are having dinner with Diane, Demeter and Tyler, right? Then we’ll join all of you at the party?”
All three nodded. “So will Kit…” Tina began to ask.
“Oh, Kit is conferring with Brett about the musical program for tonight. Since it’s a celebration and entrance to the bar will be invite-only tonight,” Helena answered Tina’s unspoken question, “she and Brett are thinking of changing up the usual music.”
Alice added, “Yeah, Kit seemed to be really excited about planning it. She and Brett have really hit it off. In fact, she’s not here with us right now, because Brett is running a few ideas down with her, so she’s in The Play Room already.”
Bette and Tina looked at each other and grinned. Kit and Brett, huh? Bow-wow-chick-a-bow-wow!
Tina stood up to walk with their friends to head down to the kitchen, but Shane pushed her back into the room, and mumbled that they would take care of cleaning up, and would see themselves out, lock the front door behind them. “Just take care of her, Tina, and we’ll all celebrate later, ok? You know the best how much of a celebration we need to have, given everything that’s happened.”
They touched foreheads briefly, and breathe out. Brett and Jules’ idea of throwing a party to allow everyone to just let it all out, and exclaim their thanks that Bette, Brom, Jules, and Jack had all survived the horrific crash, had been a welcome one. They’d all been grateful, also, that Mike, Harry, and Tom had all escaped being hurt by the blast in Charlotte.
Tina smiled back at Shane, and was still shaking her head as she turned from the bedroom door, shutting it behind Shane. She was surprised to see the bed empty –Bette had apparently clambered out of the bed. And from the sound of water running in their bathroom, was probably running a bath.
“Baby, didn’t you just come from the Baths down in Tribeca?” she asked with a touch of incredulity. “Why are you running a bath now?”
The Baths had become a key factor in the brunette’s recovery. Rambling over three floors in the heart of TriBeCa, the Baths were the first US outpost from the Seville-based minichain inspired by ancient bathing traditions. Bette had discovered it with Marissa, when she and Marissa had been looking for a place where Bette could go on days when she wasn’t going through physical therapy. Marissa thought that the Baths were just the ticket, and Bette had agreed halfway through her first soak in the soothing waters.

Well thankyou for this story, I love your writting, so please please start with the next story. Thx again for a happy ending.
You’ve always left me supportive comments, possibly from the first couple of chapters of “Let It Happen”, and I want to say “thank you,” too. I hope you enjoyed the journey. any suggestions to include in the arc of the next story? You’ve seen where they’ve been. Where should they go?
Oh, i’m a little sad that this amazing story is over.
But i’m very happy with the end.
Thank you so much for this incredible story, i hope you will write some more.
Thanks, Bibi. I was sad to draw things to a close, too, but this felt like the right moment. Let me know any thoughts of what makes sense for the next leg of this journey, please :-)
Sky, wonderful book! I am so glad Bette and Tina survived the attacks. Can’t wait for the next book so this mystery can be unraveled. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Radleks! I remember you loving the chapter that where I drew on Aristophanes, and I thought that I was lucky that people like you who were keeping watch over how their story was progressing were so appreciative of the nuances. Many thanks for staying with me all throughout! Any ideas for what should come next?
Absolutely wonderful story from start to end. I, too, look forward to your next installment.
Thanks Mamadoc! At some point it felt like the story was writing itself, so it felt wonderful to write it out, too, for you, and everyone. Would be happy to hear your thoughts on what’s next.
This was a great story, suspenseful, sexy and downright beautiful in parts. I suspect there’s more to tell with these characters, and I hope you’ll return soon with another story,
Thanks for writing and sharing with us. Take care! :D
Soleil, JP. That’s what it feels like when I see a comment from you. I know that there were times that I tried yours, and everyone else’ patience, particularly when the story took unexpected twists and turns. Hope you understood that that’s what the story required, at that point, and I wasn’t using a gimmick or anything. You have any thoughts on the framing of what’s next?
The twists and turns are what kept the story gripping, as well as the feeling that Bette and Tina had a persistent but unquantified threat to their safety despite Brom and Mike’s involvement. Even now, they’re not out of the woods.
Bette’s still got the various threads of a mystery on her hands, as well as a few more immediate concerns: Tina’s mother’s health, her own health, wanting to expand her family. What of Paul’s supposed pyramid scheme – how did it happen, and will Tina be able to mend that relationship while dealing with her mother’s illness? How did Scott come to be involved with the script treatments? Who were the unnamed assailants and who did they answer to? Who was ultimately pulling the strings? And more importantly, when will they strike again?
They’ve weathered the storm so far, and have come out of it stronger than ever, with their circle of friends widening yet growing closer, chief among them Jules! I didn’t get to see her do her Black Widow routine and take names. ;-)
I’d love to see more of them all… and I’m not the only one. Thanks again!
Thank you for bringing us on a wonderful journey of Bette and Tina’s world of glamor, business, intrigue and loving moments. I am sad to see this book to end. I hope you will come back with another book in this series as there are so many mysteries to solve.
You’re welcome! And THANK YOU for reading both books from beginning to end. Sorry that I brought things to a close at this point, but it felt like the right moment. So …. what do you think? Are there things that you’d be interested in seeing/reading about them?
YES!! Absolutely. Get started already.
Bravo, you kept our heroines safe. I love the loyalty of the old friends, Alice, Helena,Shane and the love by the new, Diane, Jules, Mike, Brom. Can Tyler find out who was behind the attacks? Seem like there more material for a sequel. You think? Thanks for taking the time to write and post this great story. I appreciate the effort and spirit that it takes to post. Thank you again.
Thank you for this wonderful story and the happy end.PPS
Thanks so much for the ride. It was a wonderful story. Hope to see you post another story soon.
What a beautiful and heart felt story so sad to see it end. Your writing is truly wonderful and romantic. Thank you and hope to get another story from you soon.
I loved the conclusion to this different kind of Tibette story. It seems that there is another book to be written and by the way were was our little angel Angie. Thank You for the adventure. It was so ironic that you used the same song to end this story of Tibette that ABC Family used at the wedding of another favorite couple Stef and Lena on The Fosters.
Really enjoyed your writing the next chapter is finding out who the mystery guy is? He disappeared after the failed attacks. Question is Bette and Tina still safe? Can Bette go back to old life as a gallerist does Tina get pregnant?
That was beautiful and awesome, love it
