Don’t Say Good Bye
~1 Year Later~
**Elizabeth- 15; Jake- 14; Chrissy- 11**
“Hey Jake”
“Hey Paul, what’s up?”
“Not much. I was wondering who that girl was?”
“Who?”
“Come on man she was sitting right next to you during lunch.”
“Jamie or Liz?”
“Liz, that’s right. Do you think you could introduce me to her?”
“Paul, Paul, Paul,” he says putting his hand on his shoulder and shaking his head. “You are a great guy, but you’re not her type.”
“What do you mean? I can be anyone’s type.”
Jake looks at him.
“Dude, you don’t know how to talk to the ladies.”
“Okay, okay, can you at least introduce me?”
“You’re too much man. Okay how about I try to get a conversation going between you two.”
“Jake” Before he could say anymore he saw her.
“Hey Liz come here a sec.”
Liz tells the girls she would catch up with them later and goes over to Jake.
“Hey Jake, what’s up?”
“That’s the question of the day isn’t it?”
“Jake no games.”
“Okay miss ‘almighty I’m too busy to talk to you’”
“I’m sorry Jake” She tries to get the spotlight off her. “Who’s your friend?”
He puts his arm around Paul’s shoulder. “This here is my friend Paul. Paul meet Liz, Liz meet Paul.”
She puts her hand out. “Nice to meet you Paul.”
He was in awe of her beauty he couldn’t say anything. He just shook her hand.
“Is he okay?”
Jake looks at his friend. “Yes, he’s fine. Don’t worry about him. So we still on for surfing lessons?”
“Of course. I’ll be over later.”
“Okay see you later Liz.”
“Later Jake”
They both stood there watching the most magnificent figure walk away. Then Jake lightly hits Paul on the arm.
“See what I do for you?”
“What?”
“You choked that’s what.”
“I did not”
“I am not going to argue with you. You know you did.” He starts walking off.
“Okay Jake” He keeps walking and goes and catches up with him. “I need your help.”
