Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
Talking to Max on the phone, Alice didn’t notice the two men in uniforms walking towards her until one of them introduced himself.
The man said, ‘Good afternoon, ma’am. We’re looking for an Alice Pi Zecki.’
Looking at them, Alice told Max on the phone, ‘I gotta go.’ When she hung up, she said, ‘I’m Alice Pieszecki.’
One of them introduced himself, ‘I’m Major Dorrow. This is Lt. Finnerdy. We’d like to talk to you for a few minutes.’
Smiling stoned, Alice asked, ‘Did something happen to Tasha?’
Dorrow asked, ‘Are you referring to Captain Williams?’
More nervously, Alice answered, ‘Yeah.’
Dorrow asked, ‘Can we talk inside for a minute? Just take a minute.’
Very nervous by how they were looking at her, Alice reluctantly said, ‘Yeah. Sure.’
Even though she’d been through self defense on this very morning, Alice wasn’t at all prepared for two guys with guns. Tasha told Alice that they knew who she was. But she didn’t expect them to just drop on by like they were paying a visit to a friend. Alice didn’t even notice the smile and low chuckle Dorrow had when she opened the door.
Alice asked, ‘What are you doing here? What’s this about?’
Dorrow answered, ‘We just want to ask you a few questions, ma’am. Nothing to get alarmed about.’ Looking at her portrait of a woman in green, Dorrow inquired, ‘What’s your relationship with Captain Williams?’
Alice answered, ‘We’re friends. You didn’t answer my question.’
When he passed the Chart, Dorrow noticed Alice’s "Velvet Park" magazine and asked, ‘What’s Velvet Park?’ He asked it in a very serious voice.
By now, Alice was very nervous about this whole situation.
Alice answered, ‘It’s a magazine. Did you want to answer my question?’
While he was flipping through the pages, Dorrow found an article and said the title "Dyke Culture in Bloom" with a very sarcastic tone and Finnerdy found a book and said the title "Gay L.A.".
Flipping the picture of her and Tasha down, as though Tasha was one of her exes, Alice kept her eyes on Dorrow as he reached down to the coffee table.
Dorrow picked something up and said, ‘Hey’ then giggled and continued, ‘SheBar. You going, Finn?’
Lt. Finnerdy smiled and said, ‘Uh no.’

It’s an important topic and I am very curious to see where you take it. Thanks, akshunjack and BoyToy!
This topic and storyline are vitally important. I believe that everyone needs to open their minds and hearts and stop judging others. I can’t wait to see where you take your story.
Being a Air Force wife for 22 yrs. My spouce was Co for yrs. Take you personal life off the base and not in combat nor on the base. Its okay to fight for your freedon and mine but not to love whom you want. I do agree with what you wrote and love that because of people Like Capt. Willian, I have the freedon to say what I want, and you chave the freedon to write what you want thanks
My husband didnt care what you did off base, and he got a lot of his men out of jail for drinking to much and for fighting, but never for who they had for partners. They kept that to them self. or went a long way off. He would have fought just as hard for them as he fought for the drunk ones.
