Diary Of A Student – Chapter 6 – Telling The Truth

She didn’t even look up when she murmured her reply.

“Who are you exactly?” She asked.

Bette was beginning to lose her nerves.

“I’m Elisabeth Porter, her girlfriend. Can I please see her?”

She could see the disgust on the woman’s face, which made her even angrier but she kept her temper in check. No need to point out to this woman her discourtesy. She wanted to see Tina and throwing a fit wouldn’t help her.

“I will ask Ms. Kennard if she wants to see you.”

The woman walked away and disappeared through a door that probably leaded the hallway. It all took to long for the young woman. She came back and told Bette she could find Tina in room 7. Bette knocked at that door and heard a sad and broken “Come in”.

She opened the door and saw her girlfriend sitting on her bed, her hair was a mess and her eyes were swollen. Tears were running down her face and she was wearing her PJs. Bette walked inside and closed the door behind her. “Hey.” She softly said. She walked over to Tina’s bed and sat next to her girlfriend, facing her and stroking the blonde-haired girl’s hair.

“Hey, don’t cry. What’s wrong?” Bette asked with a soft and caring voice. Tina looked at Bette.

“I need to tell you something…” She said softly.

“What?” Bette asked, her voice still soft and gentle. She was scared for what was coming.

“Before I tell you, you have to promise me you won’t be mad.” Tina said, desperation evident in her voice.

“No, no. I won’t be mad, Tee. Tell me what is wrong.” Bette said to her girlfriend, caressing her face.

“Mr. Green… he…” Tina could get out but then she began crying uncontrollably, she was so scared to tell Bette this. Bette held Tina close. She had no idea what was going on. Tina clung to Bette for dear life.

“Shh, calm down a little and tell me what is wrong. Nothing can make me like you less and nothing can change my mind about being with you, okay?”

Tina tried to calm down. She listened to Bette’s calm heartbeat and after a few minutes, she could speak again. She took a deep breath before starting again.
