Bette sighed as she looked back at the young woman’s face. “My God you look good.”

“Thanks B, you don’t look so bad yourself.” the young woman joked. “And who is this stunning beauty?”

The woman questioned as she gave a quick once over of Tina. 

Bette took Tina’s hand “L this is my beautiful girlfriend. Tina.” Bette turned “Tina this is my good old friend L.”

L smiled. “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Tina.” L opened her hand for an introductory shake, to which Tina took lightly. “And you.” Tina replied. She shook her head. “Sorry but forgive me, is L your real name?”

L laughed, her eyes sparkled as she did so. “Its okay, its a very common question that I get asked. My real names Alyce, then people Nicked named me Lycie and then they just got lazy and started to call me L.” 

Tina giggled, “Okay then, so I just call you L?”

 L smiled and pulled Tina in close, whispering in her ear. “You can call me what ever you want beautiful.” Pulling back L winked in Tina’s direction, which didn’t go un-notice by Bette.

“L you hittin on my woman?” Bette leant her hands on her hips.

L smiled. “B you’ve always known that I was a flirtatious woman.” Again L winked at Tina

Bette felt the slightest pain of insecurity in her stomach yet it mixed with guilt as well as jealousy. The past was difficult for Bette to return to, but L was apart of it, maybe she was apart of the better times.

“Bette.” L voiced.

Bette looked to L’s face. “What?”

“You zoned out on us there for a minute.” L grabbed Bette’s hand. “Are you okay?” Bette looked down to there joined hands and then back to L’s face “I’m fine.” 

L also looked down at there joined hands, realizing what she had just done, L let go and turned to Tina. “Sorry old habits die hard.” Grabbing Tina’s hand she placed Bette’s hand in hers.

“Now what can I do for the both of you?” She questioned as she grabbed a bottle of turps to wash her hands with.

“I’m here to show Tina the sites.” Bette replied, clenching Tina’s hand to hers.

“Well she’s ready and waiting for you. Hanger 24 I think. You know where it is right?”

Bette smiled. ” I may not have been here for a while, but I can never forget where I parked my baby.” Tina slapped Bette’s arm. “I thought I was the only one.”

Bette turned to face Tina, looked deep into her eyes and whispered. “Baby you know that you’re the only one for me.” Tina smiled and looked to her feet.

 L stepped back and admired the love that this pair did share. Giving her hope that one day she to will fond someone to share her heart with. Her smile gleamed as she shook her head. Encompassing them both under her arms, she started to walk them in the right direction.

Letting the sun shine in there faces and there shadows lagging behind, laughing as they all took the small journey, to which there next adventure would start….
