Bette sat in her chair with her hands holding her head up as James walked in.
"Hey, there’s-" He cut himself off as he saw Bette’s state. "Oh, uh … sorry. The door was opened, so …"
"No, it’s fine James," Bette said, sitting upright again, trying to pull herself together. "What was it?"
He didn’t know if he should ask what was wrong so he just continued. "Oh, the featured artist is standing outside. She wanted to see you."
Bette furrowed her brows, "Really? Now?"
"Yeah," he said with confusion as well, "I don’t know what could be the problem."
"No, it’s fine," Bette said, relaxing as she took a deep breath, "Unusual maybe, but it’s fine. You can let her in."
"Okay," he said, turning to leave before turning back to Bette and whispering, "What’s her name again?"
"Adriana," Bette said, shaking her head with a smile.
"Right," James said with a smile. He turned away again, making his way out the door.
Bette took a deep breath and continued searching on her computer before she noticed Adriana enter the room. She got up from her chair and made her way around the desk to shake her hand.
Adriana stood waiting, trying not to stare at Bette as she made her way over. There was something so sexy about a woman with power, and Bette was definitely that. She made a conscious effort to be subtle about her staring.
"Adriana," Bette said, extending her hand as Adriana met it with her own, "What’s troubling you?"
Bette motioned to one of her chairs as she leaned on her desk with her arms crossed.
"Oh umm," Adriana started, prefering to stand, "I was just wondering if I could show you another piece."
"Really?" Bette smiled, "Another piece? You must not sleep at night," Bette joked, shaking her head. "That would be wonderful. Is it here?" she asked, looking around her office.
"No, uh …" the artist started, swallowing hard as she watched Bette await her reply. "It’s at my studio apartment."
Adriana could see Bette’s confusion as she spoke and decided to justify herself. "It’s pretty big and I can’t move it myself, so …"
"Well I guess I could drop by then," Bette said with a smile, trying to make the artist happy. She reached over her desk to grab her planner, accidentally giving a nice view to Adriana. She stood back in place with her book and looked up. "Tomorrow I can do it."

Amazing chapters. Alice taking Angie shopping allows more intimate moments with Bette and Tina. This artist has me concerned about the whats and whys of showing Bette her stuff at her studio. Maybe Bette should take James or Alice with her to be on the safe side.
Those two are just too cute when they’re bad!! Adrianna can’t hold a flame to Tina ….hell Bette didn’t even give it much thought! Alice is hilarious as always … the things she teaches Angelica :)
Now that’s the perfect way to be welcomed home from a tough day at the office! :) I have a feeling that Adriana is going to be trouble. I hope not too much though. Thanks for posting!
Wow, who doesn’t want to come back home early for that??? That was sensational Cami, having somebody you love that you can talk to and be with is really tension alleviating when going through not very pleasant days. You did a great job writing this chapter and every time I read one of yours the excitement gets to me and I find myself counting the hours and the days anticipating your next post.
