“How come?” Hailey asked
“Well sweetie babies tummys are really small and they are growing fast so they need lots of extra nutrition.”
“Is he going to cry all the time?”
“For a little while he will, cause that is how babies communicate.. and before too long you will be able to tell what he needs by the way his cry sounds.”
“Really?”
“Yep”
“Cool”
“Yeah it is pretty cool.. you know what else is cool?”
“What?” Colin asked.
“Since everything is going to be crazy for a while and the baby is going to be sleeping so much… you guys are going to get to hand with me and your other Aunties a lot more.”
“Really” Skyler asked.
“Yep” Shane replied
“That’s so cool” Colin added
“Yeah I thought it was pretty cool too!”
“Auntie Shane?” Hailey asked
“Whatcha need Ley Ley?”
“Will Momma and Mommy still love us just as much if there is another kid to have to share with?”
In all the possible questions she had run through her head she never dreamed of this one… and how stupid was she for not seeing it coming from a mile away. Shane pulled off the road and turned around in her seat.
“Alright guys” Shane took a deep breath before she stared. “I know it’s probably pretty scary right now.. cause none of you have ever had a new baby in the house, but nothing will ever change how much your Momma and Mommy love you. Not even a new baby. Things may be crazy for a little while… and different, but nothing will change how much your Momma, Mommy, or any of us love you.”
“Ok” Skyler said.
“Do you guys have any more questions?”
“When can we play with Gavin?” Sky asked.
“It’s gonna be a while before you will be able to play with him… but you will be able to help take care of him.”
“Ok”
“So how about we get you guys home. I’m sure your Momma and Mommy are missing you.” Shane turned around and let out a sigh. Making a mental note to herself of how not ready she was to have a kid of her own.

I thought that Shane did a wonderful job of answering the kids questions. She is more ready to be a mom than she thinks.
I think Shane handled that very well. She will be a great God Mother. How long do we have to wait for Gavin to get here? PPS

So Sweet 513, Shane is going to be the perfect godmother, that is such a typical question. Like all the other typical things that kids and new babies bring nobody tells you or maybe they just want you to be able to find out on your own. I know that Gavin needs more time with his Mom,. Can we fast forward a couple of weeks. Let get that little feller in this big world so his big brother and sister gets to see how beautiful he is and that their moms can show them the love that they seems to be worried about. Love that they are going to ask Shane to be the God-Mother
