“Bette I’m quickly developing very strong feelings for you… I know you have been through hell, we both have… we need to take it slow.. but I want you to know…”

Bette didn’t let Tina continue, she leaned in and kissed Tina. A kiss filled with passion and budding love. There was no need for words. Bette’s answer left no question in Tina’s mind that she too was developing feelings for her.

They shared a wonderful night together, enjoying their dessert and each other. Kissing, cuddling, holding each other and talking until the early morning hours when they shared a final good night kiss and Tina left before they both lost the battle against sleep.

Bette was awoken from a sound sleep by Colin crawling up into her bed. A smile emerged on her face as she thought about Tina and the kiss they shared.

“Hi Mommy.”

“Hey little man. Did you sleep good?”

“Yeah”

“Are you hungry sweetie?”

“Yeah Mommy, can we go to The Planet?”

Bette couldn’t help but laugh. “I think Momma would be in trouble if we didn’t” Colin looked at her confused by how Momma could be in trouble.

“Go get dressed Mister… Momma’s got something to take care of before we can go. Ok?”

“Ok” and with that Colin was off to his room to get dressed. Bette picked up her phone and quickly dialed the Gallery.

“Hey James it’s Bette… yes Bette Porter…Ha Ha very funny James…Hey James can you get me the number for that florist we use at the Gallery…great got it… yeah I know James… I miss you guys too… Say James, why don’t you have one of those extra offices fixed up for me… yes I mean it James… let’s just say I’m ready to join the land of the living again… I’ve got to go James.. I’ll talk to you later.” Bette disconnected the call and called the florist. “I need an arrangement delivered to Tina Kennard as soon as possible…”

Kate, Hailey, and Skyler quietly entered the house. Kate had coached the girls in the care to be very quiet so they didn’t wake Tina and mess up the surprise. They made their way to the kitchen and went to work fixing breakfast for Tina and setting their own places at the table. When everything was ready Kate gave them the go ahead to go wake Tina while she followed behind with the tray. The girls crawled into her bed and smothered her with kisses. Waking her from a sound and restful sleep.
