Who do you think that is? Millie whispered behind me.

I leant back against her, relaxing as her warm arms came round my waist to embrace me.

I don’t know, but I think shes still here.

We stood for a moment in silence, once again things seemed to be a bit too quiet.

Do you want to get another room? Millie asked cautiously.

I turned round her in arms and smiled. Loving the fact that I could look into her eyes and simply be made happy from the smile I was rewarded with in return. I twirled my finger round one of the curls which fell round Millies face, savouring the feel of the soft whisper of a touch which her hair could induce.

You make me so happy. I said wistfully, as if I was just thinking out loud when in fact I was speaking the feelings that lay so deep within my heart.

I would say the same but there are too many words I could replace happy with, so I think Ill say something else instead. Millie said, seeming to take a deep breath.

She glanced to the side of me, pondering the phrase she was about to verbalise for me. I kept curling my finger round her hair, reaching in behind her ear to feel more of the silky wave of curls.

I was so consumed with admiring her I failed to notice the inner debate which seemed to be taking place in Millies mind.

What do you want to say baby? I asked, rubbing my thumb along her perfectly formed jaw line.

Millies eyes met mine and I saw then the intensity which burned in their depths. She looked at me for a moment longer with a serious expression concerning her features, then smiled as she leant down to kiss my devious digit which had since gravitated towards her luscious lips. I followed the supple line of her cheek and watched as my hand disappeared into her thick curls again.
