Uncharted Territory
‘And then what? Then you let her fu….’ Before she can finish she bends over the sink and throws up everything that I poisoned her with. I wish I could hold her, but I know she would never let me. Not now, not ever again.
‘No, I left.’
‘A little late don’t you think?! You fucking broke everything!’ She screams and crystal hits the wall, scattering into a million pieces on the floor. A few inches to the right and the glass would’ve destroyed our wedding picture, which I am sure she was aiming at.
‘I’m sorry.’
‘Fuck you!’ Her scream is followed by the bedroom door being slammed in my face.
I rest my head against the cold wood, trying to bite back my tears. I just returned from Texas, where we were shooting the last part of the movie that I am producing. The plan was to stay for a week. Instead, only two days into my stay there, I caught the first flight back after making the biggest mistake of my life. I thought this week would give Bette and me some breathing space. For quite some time things between us haven’t been good. I knew that there was too much below deck not to shatter my carefully laid floor when it came up. When my colleague knocked on the door of my hotel room last night and invited herself in for a drink I didn’t see any harm in it. After spending so many nights waiting for Bette to come home, I didn’t want to be alone again. We opened a bottle of wine and it all started with innocent banter. As the night progressed and banter turned into flirting, I felt flattered. It had been a long time since Bette had looked at me like that. When she leaned in and kissed me it felt good. I kissed her back and before I knew it I had her pinned against the wall. But when her hands started to roam my body, I realized what I had done and pushed her away. However, it was too late. The damage was already done.
On the other side of the door closets and drawers are being opened and closed. Even though I know what she is doing, I need to see it. I need to stop her.

Simply brilliant. It’s so sad what we do to ourselves when we take life for granted, when we don’t say the words we need to say… Being awake and mindful of staying in the present is most important.
It’s unfortunate that our couple have fallen into the many traps of life and have separated by such a large distance. When a love so strong that they share cannot seem to save them.
Maybe the passing of this precious spirit will remind both of them of the fargity of life and what’s most important. We can only hope.
Loved it, so different with Tina the cheater.
Really enjoyed it, thank you. Please post again soon.
Wow, this is different from anything presented…. good start…. let’s see if Bette and Tina will at least begin to talk to one another…. terrible that each of them has been waiting on the other to make the first move…..
Thanks for the chapter….
Thank you for the new story!
I want to ask about one thing – i understand that Tina didn’t sleep with her co-worker, she just kissed her and she stopped her when things go further. Or i’m wrong?
Im sorry if it wasn’t clear. Tina did go all the way… she f***ed her co-worker against the wall, but didn’t let her return the favor. Now you see how hard it was for us to write about Tina cheating .
Ohhhh my friend, your writing style serves you just fine, no matter your native tongue! This screenplay is gonna be just fine. Keep going!!!
Gosh what a tough life lesson these two will have to navigate . . . the grass is NEVER greener on the other side!!!! At BEST, its only “astro turf” (fake, inflexible, laid over hard concrete to assure that upon scaling the fence for what “looks” delectable, one lands with back-breaking thud . . . )
uughhhh

Absolutely love it. Such a different perspective. Cannot wait for the journey you will be taking us on.

I can only echo the preceding comments, with my own resounding praise for a job well done! Like the others, I am intrigued with the role reversals. Looking forward to your next post, and the next, and the next, etc. Keep healthy! Virtual hugs to you! Dr. A
The story is so beautiful, the emotion flows deeply, even as a reader i could feel the pain and agony of Bette and Tina.
I always see Bette as the stronger one in between her and Tina. Her character is strong, her minds is strong, her loves to Tina is strong, so when you read a strong person broke into pieces it so heart broken. And reading how Tina regretted hurting Bette is so sad..
You did a great job author..The story really well written… I love it.. Thank you for sharing your work. :)
