    Changing Places – Chapter 27 – Finale #2

Tina got dressed and set out before dawn. Today was the day she would reclaim what was rightfully hers and begin to live life again. She got into the SAAB, put the roof down and drove east. She saw the sun rise, felt the wind blow through her hair. Tina loved this ritual she had started 2 years ago, almost to the day. Once a week, on Sunday she took this drive, visiting her past, remembering the memories of the love they had shared. The sun was just past the horizon as she pulled into the cemetery. Tina stopped before a double headstone, writing on one side only. She got out of the car, retrieved the flowers she had bought yesterday and slowly walked over. She ran her hand over the lettering, Elizabeth Porter, loving mother, devoted wife. The tears streamed down her face as she sat down and listened to the silence.

Tina: Today is the day Bette. Today I go to court and get custody of our little girl. Your father cant deny me any longer. I wish you could see her Bette. Hope is such a beautiful little girl. She looks just like you, wavy hair, big brown eyes, mocha skin. She is such a sweet child.

Tina thought back to the day Hope was born. How had things gone so horribly wrong?

    1. NNNNOOOOOO!!!!!! As soon as I read Tina was driving the SAAB I knew that you killed Bette!!!! I’m crying here, chase!! Oh my poor TiBetteShippin’ heart!!! Okay, okay, I think I’m okay lol. *Sigh* You know what though? As much as I would hate to lose Bette, I would love for you to explore this storyline. I want to see Tina kick Melvin’s ass! It seems like you’re excited to explore this option too and I know that you’d do an excellent job. It’s definitely a different story from anything else on this board. So I say go for it!!

    2. At first all I could think was no, not Bette! But then, I thought about how much I enjoy reading your stories and how if anyone can put Melvin, that pompous ass, in his place it would be you and Tina. So, I say, if you write it, I’ll read it.
      Thanks for all your effort.

    3. Please don’t kill Bette…you did such an awesome job with the series, killing her wouldn’t do justice to the great story you told…bad enough Tina boinked Candyass.

    4. oh…nooooooooooooo…do not finish it like that…why this great sweet stories always end with bette or tina dying…nooooooooooo…we want happy ending…noooooo…we DEMAND HAPPY ENDING…pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    5. Reading this reminded me of the movie Message In a Bottle. I loved that movie…of course how could you not with Robin Wright Penn in it? But, for as much as I loved it, I am always left wanting more…feeling cheated somehow by the death of Kevin Costner’s character.
I have loved this story from the first chapter, and honestly don’t know how I would feel if you went with ending #2, but Chase, it’s your story, your imagination, your talent that has led us here, so go with what you want.
Thanks for at least giving us ending #1. This has been a wonderful journey.

Ok, ok…now that I said the right thing, I’ll say what I really feel…please don’t kill Bette!!!!! Ok, whew!

    6. okay please do not kill her. maybe you can combined the 2 endings..like melvin giving a problem with tina adopting the baby, but have bette still be alive.

    7. Lets go with Finale One. Let Marvin try to take hope away from the both of them. but, please leave the three of them together. They worked so hard to get where they are, Let marvin put his ass on the line a wonderful ,beautiful story thanks so much for it.

    8. Ah, don’t want to be rude here, ’cause quite frankly I love all of your stuff – even this – sorta, but my vote is hello no, don’t kill off Bette. Jeez, I’m a little rattled from reading this little piece. I could only imagine what I’d feel like if you went with a whole series.
Sorry, but ending number 1 works just fine for this sappy little romantic – thank you very much!

    9. I’m torn. I love the first ending, but can see potential for this kind of story too. It reminds me of another story another author wrote so long ago where Bette died immediately after the affair (car accident while chasing after Tina). I can see your talents lending themselves well to a story of that ilk or entirely of your own creation. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but for someone who claims to hate writing, I’ve not gleaned the aversion in your story. I will gladly read whatever you bring forth!

    10. I perfer the first ending, after all it was changing places and Tina didn’t die. So I am saying that I liked the first one it stays with your title. Thanks again for your time and efforts.

    11. WOW, I don’t know if I can handle all the drama that this will be bringing. But I would be willing to go with you. Number 1 was great but 2 has you writing more, but you could go on with 1 also, so…. What ever you do I’m there, I trust you.

    12. i agree, your story, but he rest was so beautiful im not sure i could handle this ending, so its up to you but i would love a continuation of the first ending…thanks for this story, really geat

    13. NO, YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO US!! THE HELL WITH BETTE’S FATHER…YOU CAN’T KILL BETTE. LoL…sorry, I just love your story so much, it gave me so much hope. Keep it up:-)
