CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE
A humming Bette was taking the stairs to her sister’s place. She had a goofy grin on her face she knew she was unable to hide. The world seemed to be a better place and she felt like nothing could harm her. She had left Tina’s place earlier after a morning of passionate sex. Both had decided that it was time to tell their dearest ones about their relationship and with that, about the decision they had made last night.
The brunette was rather surprised when she found the place to be empty. It being a Tuesday, she had thought her sister would be home. This was her day off. She doubted whether to call her or not and then decided she would just wait for her. She still couldn’t quite believe that they would really be doing this, but Tina had been right. It was for the best.
Previous evening
Tina was playing with Bette’s hair, not concentrating on the series Bette was watching at all. She didn’t like it, but Bette did so she watched it just to be with her. She couldn’t wait for the show to end, because they really needed to talk. She wrapped her arms a little tighter around Bette.
A couple of minutes later, Bette stretched her legs and looked up at Tina with so much love in her eyes that it made the blonde even more sure that this was the right thing to do.
“Bette, we really need to talk about college. I know you think UCLA is better because it means that I can keep my job and my appartment, but there’s something I haven’t told you yet.” Tina took a deep breath. “I already resigned. I have spoken to Jodi after our first kiss, of course not mentioning it. Even if you really wanted to go to UCLA for another reason than my comfort, I couldn’t stay where I am without being reminded of you all the time and miss you all the time, even when I could call you whenever I wanted. I really think you should go to Yale, not many people have the opportunity and I really think it’d be such a good experience. And if we moved to New Haven, nobody would know us there. Nobody would know I used to be your teacher. We’d able to live together during weekends and holidays and you’ll still have your campus experience… I want to start a new life too. L.A. is big and it would really be a coincidence if I ran into him, but still… I rather be somewhere else, where I can fully and totally commit myself to you. I know this sounds huge and maybe you think it’s too soon, but we’ve both been waiting for so long…”

I love this Tibette story. They’ve been so careful and carried this “unrequited” love for so long that seeing them enjoy it is a wonderful breath of fresh air. Thanks, Genner!
oh man this was great. thank you for the post. PPVS
I missed this story. Thanks for posting a wonderful chapter!
Hey Genner, I am back after a vacation and have just caught up with this brilliant adventure. It was so sweet that Bette ran away only to be followed by Tina before they could finally share their innermost feelings and desires. Now the real world has intervened as they open up their relationship to their nearest and dearest. I do hope it is their naivety as they keep mentioning what they will do if this relationship finishes. I do hope that they will be together forever. Unless that wild campus htat is Yale pulls Bette away from Tina now only for them to reunite once Bette is finished with her studies. I can’t wait to read more. Please continue soon. Your Loyal Fan.
