Tina and Helena had been friends since college.they were roommates and had shared everything.they knew each other secrets ,knew each other likes and dislikes. It was fair enough to say they were best friends.They were inseparable ,until a few weeks ago…that is.It all started when Tina found out that Eric,her boyfriend was cheating on her ,she was devastated and so she had called Helena. Being the friend Helena was she had dropped everything and come to console her friend.Helena was a very beautiful woman who was used to getting anything she wanted.She knew that Tina had dated both men and women in college and after,seeing as she was one of those women.After a couple dates and a few sexual mishaps they had decided to call it quits and just remain friends .and thats how it had been for over eight years until now.

Tina had cried on Helena’s shoulder until the wee hours of the morning,then they had gone clubbing that night and the other night and every weekend after.Ever since her breakup with Eric Helena had tried to subtle let Tina know that she was interested ,by dropping little hints here and there.like sending her flowers ,being there when Tina got home from work with dinner and a glass of wine,running her a bath and massaging her tired body.Tina loved all the attention she was getting but she made it clear every chance she got that this was going nowhere and they were only friends.

Helena had agreed and not made a big deal out of it until last night she had lost it and flipped.

Tina had come home  tired,and in need of a bath and a good night’s sleep.She just needed to relax and be by herself.When she got in the house Helena was there as usual and wouldn’t take no for an answer insisting that Tina did not want to be alone she needed her friend to be there with her.Tina caved and made her stay….and that’s when she put the moves on Tina and when Tina rebuffed her advances,she got nasty and accused Tina of playing games .her exact words were…

"you are a cold heartless bitch,always playing with people’s emotions …no wonder Eric cheated on you … you don’t have the capacity to love…and with that  she had walked out slamming the door._and leaving Tina puzzled and frozen to the spot.

maybe Helena was right,maybe i am unfeeling and don’t have the capacity to love….so absorbed was she in thought that she hadn’t noticed where she was until the waitress asked her if she wanted a drink. that’s when she noticed the people around her,and realised she must have wandered in some cafe or bar.

-Bette looked up  and noticed the moment the blonde  stepped into the cafe.Even in a crowd of other women,dressed,for the most part in summer clothing she was definitely a standout.surprisingly she was alone.

As the blond paused to get her bearings,her gaze took in the surrounding,from the bar to the dance floor,then to the  haphazard arrangement of tables and chairs surrounding it.Spotting a vacant table,she moved to it and sat down.

Kit was saying something and when she got no reaction from her sis ,she followed the direction her sister was focused on and when she say the objection of her sisters attention she laughed…What did you say again sis about hating women?"

but Bette was not listening,she was already half way across the room.
