Kasey looked at her aunt dissaprovingly. Tina could of sworn Kasey rolled her eyes at her but she ignored it. Tina sat herself on the couch and Kasey sat her self so very far away from her on the opposite end. Tina felt bad, Usually Kasey had no care for personal space and would be in Tina’s face, hair, anywhere really.
Kasey sighed for about the fifth time, her arms crossed tightly against her chest, her face scrunched up and she was doing her best not to look at Tina, but every so often would steal a glance at her and when Tina caught her staring she would quickly look away.
Tina: Do you want to talk about this?
Kasey didn’t answer, her head hung low, her blonde hair cascaded forward covering most of her face, so Tina was unable to see her clearly.
Tina: Kasey I know your upset with me but I would like for you to answer me.
Kasey looked up, and with her small hand pushed the hair away from her eyes. Tina saw her eyes were red and brimmed with tears.
Kasey:Why isn’t she here with us? Why doesn’t she miss me as much as I miss her?
Tina sighed. This endless question, no matter how many times she addressed the question to her niece, no answer was ever suitable. Kasey always had a why this or why that response.
Tina: Kasey, You know why your aunt isn’t here, let’s not discuss this anymore ok, it makes me sad, and then the baby gets sad, You don’t want your cousin to be sad now do you? Let’s just try and think of other things today besides Bette…It won’t do us any good to think about her anymore
Kasey’s face fell, her having Tina there was like a constant reminder to her that Bette should be there. She loved her aunt Tina of course, but it was her aunt Bette who she had a special relationship with, it was her aunt Bette who had created a whole art gallery for her when she had gone on a three day coloring spree…Kasey laughed every time she remembered the memory. Bette had dressed up for the event and looked at each picture and even made bids on some of the art work. Kasey had made 2 dollars and fifty cents that night, she wasted it the next day on ice cream… but it was worth it…

No in this particular story I do not want Tina to take Bette back. Poor Kasey and Tina they need to get over Bette because she isn’t worth their tears.

I don’t think Candace got her due in most of the fics on this site, or on the show. She had to have some credibility to attract Bette. Thanks for approaching her character without making her a cartoon villain. That said, she exists as a plot device, to heighten the angst before B&T reunite. Doesn’t she? Say yes, NYA. BTW, don’t let Bette call her ‘babe’, that just grates my nerves. Good chapter. Who can resist a child (Kasey)?
No Bette stay right where you are enroute to oblivion aka Candace’s pussy. Tina deserves better, way better and can the kid giver her aunt a break. This always pissed me off in the show that Bette continued to screw or be screwed by Candace. So you can only imagine my glee to also be reading this same scenario. We all know Bette has a way with women but come on, kids to.
