Thank God dogs can’t speak.

The sound of water running in Tina’s bathroom can still be heard, so I hurry to shower as well. Upon finishing, I go back downstairs. I check my phone, finding three missed calls – one from my mother and two others from Leigh Ostin. God, what do all these women want from me?! I put the phone into the pocket and go in search for my guest.

Tina is nowhere to be seen, although the dogs are still here, so at least she hasn’t left. Sophie comes running up at me gleefully and I can’t help but melt inside. I’m in love with this pup already. Bending over, I fondle her head and ears.

”Where’s your mommy, cutie-pie?”

As though understanding my words, Sophie becomes more exuberant and starts leading the way. I follow her until she brings me to the open glass door that leads onto the terrace.

What I see there makes me stop dead in my tracks. Like a perfectly sculpted statuette Tina is standing at the railing and looking out over treetops and green spaces of Central Park with the magnificent canopy of the clear blue sky above her. Her wispy blonde hair are fluttering in the gentle breeze, and I can just visualize a halo around her head. I hold my breath as I drink in the beauty before me.

You know what is art? THIS is. Aesthetically inspiring, wholesome art. The kind of art that has life and driving force behind it. The kind of art that has become irrelevant and valueless in this shallow, cynical, artificial world.

I’m suddenly overcome by a strong urge to paint. I need to capture this somehow, so I can have it imprinted on my mind. Pulling my phone out of the robe’s pocket, I take a photo quickly. Mission complete.

Approaching Tina, I try to make as little noise as possible. She seems to be deep in thought and I don’t want to break her reverie, nor startle her. Walking up to the railing, I look over at her. She has her eyes closed, her face serene, devoid of cosmetics. Her light skin is so smooth and pure, I can’t wait to lay my palm against it. She’s just so beautiful. It’s like I could stare at her forever and be satisfied for a lifetime. She truly is a vision of perfection.
