    The Next Morning – Tina

    Tina:  Al, you have to wake up.  You have to answer that!!!  Argh.

    Her cell kept on ringing.  Where the hell is it?  My head is a mess.  I think I drank way too much when we got to Alice’s apartment.  I was supposed to be this good friend who puts her drunken friend to bed, instead I drank and let her drink some more!  God.  Sorry Al.

    I walked round the bed and retrieved her cell from her jacket pocket.

    I looked at the ID, it says TINA’S.  What?  What the hell?

    I flipped it open.

    Tina:  Hello?

    Voice:  Al…

    Tina:  No this isn’t her.  Hello?

    Shane:  Hey Al…

    Tina:  Oh hi Shane it’s Tina.

    Shane:  Oh… Hey T…

    Tina:  What’s up?  Are you using your phone?

    Shane:  yeah… umm well no…Where’s Alice?

    Tina:  She’s still in bed.

    Shane:  Really? 

    Tina:  Yeah.  Is this Bette’s phone?

    Shane:  Yeah…

    So that’s why her ID says TINA’S!

    Tina:  So was that who I think it was who called?  She passed the phone to you right? 

    Shane:  Umm yeah  

    Tina:  Do you want me to wake Alice up?  Although I don’t think she’s ready to wake up yet.

    Shane:  No it’s ok.  I just want to let her know that I’m on my way to the airport now…

    Tina:  Where are you going?

    Shane:  No I’m not going anywhere.  Bette is. 

    Tina:  Really now?  She’s leaving?

    Shane:  Yeah about some work in New York. 

    Tina:  Sure.  Is that what she told you?  That’s just rich.  So she didn’t tell you that we kissed last night when she is, clearly still with Mel? 

    Shane:  Uhmm No… well actually T…

    Tina:  Don’t defend her Shane.  Come on.

    Shane:  Oh ok. 

    Tina:  Just don’t tell her I told you that ok? 

    Shane:  Yeah sure. 

    Tina:  Ok.  I’ll just see you later for dinner yeah?

    Shane:  Ok see you later. 

    Tina:  Take care.  Bye!

    Shane:  Yeah you too T.  Bye.

    Fine!  Go back to New York Bette.  Run.  You’re good at that. 

    Alice:  What is that noise!!!

    Tina: NOW you wake up!?!?

    Alice:  What’s your problem?

    I sighed.

    Tina:  Nothing.  That was Shane.

    Alice:  Shane?  Are we supposed to meet somewhere?
