    Author Notes:

    Bette and Tina are struggling to find their place with one another in the midst of Bette’s accident.

    Tina began to get up from her seat to be closer to Bette and the door swung open and the nurse walked in to check in on Bette.

    “Hello ladies” said the nurse.

    “Hi” Bette and Tina said in unison.  As the nurse walked toward Bette, she mouthed to Tina ‘sorry’. Tina shook her head and mouthed back ‘its ok’.

    The nurse said “How are you doing this evening Bette? Are you in pain?”.

    Bette said “I am in a little bit of pain, but I don’t want any pain medication, because it makes me sleepy”.

    The nurse said “It makes you sleepy, so that you can rest Bette. You have a long road ahead of you as far as recovery”.

    Tina said “Bette, you did not tell me you were in pain. You need to take the medication. Please Bette, do it”.

    Bette looked defeated and nodded her head to indicate that she would accept the pain medication.

    The nurse took all Bette’s vital signs and then turned to Tina and said “Bette’s blood pressure is a little high and I am going to keep an eye on that. It is likely because she is in pain. Everything else looks good. Pins will come out in a couple of days Bette! You are coming along pretty well. Tina is taking good care of you”.

    Bette said “Yes she is. She is the best pain medication ever”. Bette winked at Tina.

    The nurse indicated that the pain medication would in fact make Bette sleepy and that she would likely not be back in the room to disturb them for the rest of the night unless something happened medically. After giving an update the nurse said goodnight and left.

    Bette said “Great, so finally I get the green light that we would have no visitors and be left alone by the hospital for the night and you go and dope me up with painkillers”. Bette was pouting.

    Tina walked over the bed and picked up Bette’s hand and while she was holding it she said “Bette. I need to help keep us both focused on the task at hand here, which is your full recovery.  We will have plenty of time with each other when we are back in LA recovering.  Right now, you have to be honest about when you are in pain. Don’t be brave for me Bette. If you need to rest, you should rest. If you need pain medication, you need to take it and not worry about staying awake to be with me”.

It’s 11.19 PM here, and I’ve finished to read your story again! :D There was a LOT of wonderful pages :p I was great to read everything again ;-) I love the way Tina take care of Bette, the way she washes her, it was truly something.     5. I was wondering what had happened to this storyI’m glad you decided to continued to write it. Bette is so insecure right now I am glad that Tina decided to step up and take charge. Banning Jodi from seeing Bette was the absolute right thing to do. She is such a bitch trying to confuse Bette while she is in so much pain and on medication that makes her woozy. I can’t wait to read your next chapter. PS

    9. It will take Bette quite awhile to recover from this very serious accident but she has the best medicine that she could possibly have right by her side, Tina. They will get thru this and be 110% again. Loved the update. PPS

    11. Thank you for continuing this story, especially in this time of loss and sorrow. Bette is needing Tina at this point and Tina is not letting her down.

    14. glad to see this one back..I like strong Tina really patient and supportive of Bette. We are getting to see just how insecure Bette is and now she will have to let Tina take the lead…so whats next for them??
