    Bette talks while Tina listens.

    *Tina*

    I have left Bette and her mother alone for over an hour now. At first I just heard Bette sobbing, which broke my heart. I hated to see or hear my beloved in such pain. Finally after realizing that pacing a hole in the floor wasnt going to do me any good I open the bedroom door and slowly walk out into the living room. What I see brings me to happy tears.

    In front of Bette and Julia are sitting on the sofa wrapped in each otherss arms both fast asleep. Bette is laying against her mother with one hand near her mouth as one of Julias hands is in Bettes hair as her other is resting against Bettes back. This has to be the sweetest thing Ive ever seen in all my life.

    I stand and watch them for a few minutes and am about to go back to the bedroom when the phone starts to ring. I practically dive for the phone before it wakes up the two woman before me.

    Hello, I whisper

    Tina, comes the voice of Kit

    Yeah?

    Why are you whispering?

    I go further into the kitchen after glancing at Bette and Julia to make sure that they didnt wake up.

    Bette is asleep in the living room.

    Okay. I wanted to call to check to see if you were still taking my baby sister out of town for the weekend.

    I look over at the couch, I dont think so Kit. We got a visitor tonight?

    Oh yeah, Kit stated, Who?

    Bettes mother.

    There was a prolonged silence on the line at me saying this.

    I know how that sounds Kit but it really is her. Its a long story how shes here and everything. Suffice it to say that if it had been up to her she would have shown up a long time ago.

    Still there was silence.

    Kit?

    Im here, came Kits voice, Are you sure its her?

    I nod my head and realize that Kit cant see this, Were sure Kit. Bette recognized her.

    Where is she now?

    Bette kind of broke down in her arms and the two of them are currently asleep.
