Tina: “Hi”
Bette: “Hey”
Silence.
Tina: “You looked nice last night. Have fun?”
Bette: “Yes I had a lovely time.”
That was that. When Tina finished with the groceries Bette gave her the baby to feed then went to her room. Bette was in no mood to get into an argument with Tina and she had no intention in telling Tina her business. They had giving up disclosing their whos, whats, whens, and wheres, when Tina basically told her she didn’t care if she slept with the Senator or not. Bette spent the rest of the night soothing her worrying mind about this new venture she was embarking on.
Bette and Tina’s 10 a.m.
The next morning after Tine fed Angelica she left to work. Unless they had to discuss something baby related, they barely spoke. Tina left with hardly a goodbye. Bette was minding that less and less. Bette sat and read as Angelica played on a blanket. The phone rang.
Bette: “Hello?”
Man: “May I speak with Bette Porter please?”
Bette: “speaking”
Man: “Hey Bette!”
Bette: “James?”
James: “Yeah.”
Bette: “Hi! How are you?”
James: “I’m good. How are you?”
Bette: “I’m good actually.”
Bettte hadn’t spoken to anyone from the CAC when she got fired. She was so pissed about the situation that she packed her things, said goodbye to James and never looked back.
James: “Good to hear. How’s the baby?”
Bette: “She’s great. Thanks for asking. It’s good to hear from you.”
James: “Good. You too.”
Bette: “So what’s up?”
James: “Well it seems I’m working for you in your absence.”
Bette: “How’s that?”
James: “Well we’ve been getting calls all morning from other galleries and art houses looking for you. Even UCLA called.’
Bette: “they’re looking for me?”
James: “Yeah. Is your computer on?”
Bette: “Yeah.”
She walked over and opened the lid of her lap top.
Bette: “Go ahead.”
James: “Ok if you open your email you’ll see I put a list together of all the people who called and their contact information.”
Bette: “Ok yeah I see it here. This is strange.”

Biased I’m sorry to write this but I don’t give a fuck about Tina in this story seriously Vibes you are doing a great job of making her role as minimal as it can be. This is all about Bette and her finding some of the strength and confidence that has been literally sucked out of her being by all the shit that has gone down in her relationship with Tina. Yippie for Vibes…

I totally agree with Slipperynipple. Bette deserves to get her confidence and strength back. If Harmony is the one to help her with this then so be it. Tina had her chance to work things out with Bette and for whatever reasons she didn’t take advantage of it. So Bette should do whatever it takes to be a happy and confident woman again. Keep this going Vibes–great story.
Take your time, I like th foundation you’be built so far. All your fans will be patient I’m sure. Tina sure is acting immature though. I can’t belive they are living in the same house and barely speaking. Might be time for Tina to get her own place.

I can’t believe that Bette is actually worried about what Tina would think if she decided to go back to work. Seems to me that Tina gave up any right to have a say in Bette’s life when she headed out the door with someone else. I’m really enjoying this story and look forward to the next chapter.
I’m with Slipperynipple.I dont care a flying Fig about Tina,she maded her bed let her lay in it. Bette needs a job ,Just for Bette,It want be long before Tina is gone and will want a nanny for the baby.so Bette needs to look into her future beyond Tina and She will see the baby

As much as I want B&T together, I really like the fact that Bette is getting to be her old self again. Maybe. Harmony is good for Bette in that she sees what she used to be looking at harmony and enjoying it and missing her old life. Good for Bette. Personally, I think Tina has waited too long for a comeback. Bette still considers Tina’s feelings even now. She is the better woman in this. Thanks for the post.
I like this story and while i am a little sad about whee B and T seem to be going I like seeing Bette at least a little happy again and she deserves someone who will treat her well.
please post soon I want to read the next chapter so bad I don’t know what to do. I think evreybody wants that type of love thing. Every woman wants to be treated like a queen. I am so happy for bette I don’t even know what to do with myself. At this point I thank god bette is putting her foot down. And not taking that BS that tina is feeding her. Bette is goreous and she deserves true love, even if is for the moment.

Go Bette, “its ya birthday we gonna party like it’s your birthday” Bette should move the hell on and then have Tina wanting to come back only after which Bette tells her to “Step off Bitch”

loving this story… i hope bette and harmony grow into a couple, but i think tina will be having a hard time watching bette so happy and giddy- how they used to be.
