    Author Notes:

    Shane and Carmen get an unpleasant surprise, Helena reports and Bette is in for a shocking experience. Also a new character called X comes to the island, he’s played by Al Pacino. And no, they don’t call him X, I just write that because his real name is confidential information ;)

    Helena’s voice tuned out as Bette and Tina were putting the maps away and taking out their weapons. Bette got a crossbow and Tina had been given an axe.
    "Okay," Bette started as she was looking through her bag one last time to see if she needed anything else for the moment. "This is what we’re gonna do"
    "No," Tina interrupted her.
    Bette looked up at her wife – she wasn’t used to being contradicted – and realized Tina was holding her axe in front of her in both hands, prepared to strike.
    "Tina, what are you doing?" Bette asked in shock.
    "You’re not in charge, Bette," Tina said indifferently. "She said that if I ever wanted to see Angelica again, I had to win. I have to be the last one. She’s my daughter, please understand."
    "No, baby," Bette said with tears in her eyes, stepping away from her even though all she wanted to do was wrap her arms around her and tell her it was all going to be alright. "We’ll find a way to get around the system"
    Tina just shook her head, thinking about the card that had been attached to her weapon.

    "You need to figure out your priorities. Only one person can win this. Don’t you want to see your daughter again?"

    "I have figured out my priorities," she said aloud and raised the axe. "I have to do this!"
    "No!" Bette screamed and started running. She had left the crossbow next to her backpack and she had nothing to use to defend herself from Tina.
    "Angelica needs her mother!" Tina shouted as she chased after her.
    "I’m her mother too!" Bette cried, stumbling through the forest with Tina following closely behind her.
    "It’s not the same"
    "But, baby" Bette turned around, still wanting to talk Tina out of it, but before she managed to get another word out, the blade of Tina’s axe hit her right between the eyes and she fell backwards to the ground.
    Tina looked down at her, pulled the sharp blade out of her dead wife’s head and wiped the bloodstains from her own face with the back of her hand.
    "I’m sorry, baby," she said determinedly, "but I had to do it. I had to do it for Angelica."

    3. That was nuts. I loved it. Didn’t expect Bette to get killed off so soon, that was cool how Tina flipped out. Now that she killed her she’ll hack anyone. Did Shane have an out of body experience? Hope Carmen realizes she better stick w/ Shane. Keep up the great work.
