Jenny’s words still fresh in mind. Weeks after our heated discussion I still haven’t contacted her and she didn’t contact me. Knowing Jenny though, she probably keeps an eye on me in some way. Two nights ago I saw the black Cadillac parked a few houses away, she knows I can see her… I think it’s her way showing that she cares for me. She does… I know she does, but sometimes her hurtful words don’t help me.

With me and Carmen however, it’s been going great. I’ve become an expert in hiding my guilty eyes every time that I lie to her.

I have my arm around her in her bed. No, we’re not naked… we were before. I smell in her fruity sense of her hair. She turned and faces me; she kissed the tip of my nose and smiled at me.

“Hhmmm…. What time do you start at The Planet today?” I asked.

“9.00 o’clock…. finish at 12.30…. You wanna wait?” She asked. Her fingers trailing my back ever so slowly.

“Sure…” I said looking at her.

“You don’t mind waiting three and half hours… again?” She asked.

“No………. For you, anything my dear…” I smiled; she let a little laugh that I don’t mind hearing.

“I love when you talk to me like that…” She said to me. I tucked strands of her hair behind her ear; I traced the shape of her face with my finger.

“Like what…?” I asked. Interested.

“Like you know…” She said in that Californian way. “Like… in the olden days, in books…” She trailed off. “It’s very charming…” She added.

“Really?” I asked and she nodded, approved. “Then I shall continue to converse to you in this manner…” I said only kidding with her. She laughed at me and gave a quick peck on my lips.

“I haven’t seen you friend Jenny in a while…. are you two alright with each other?” She said, changing the subject. Suddenly her eyes doesn’t seem joyful anymore, it’s more serious. It seems that she cares about my friendship with my loyal companion, Jenny.
