    Bette gets really wet. Together…without fear…without judgement…Bette and Tina find their home.

    Chapter 178

    “So Babe, when will you be home from work?” Tina tapped her finger on the kitchen counter as she waited for Bette to answer her.

    “I’ll be home in about an hour T. I think I need a nap.” Bette yawned as she answered Tina. She stared out the window. The sky was dark and the rain fell at a steady pace. It hit the window with great force. Bette watched the drops of water slide down the window. “God Tina….I want to come home now….cuddle…just be with you.” Bette let out a heavy sigh and continued to stare out the window.

    “Well Baby…I’ll be here. Mom said she’d cook…and I’ve been playing with the babies all day. When you come home…I’m all yours.” Tina smiled as she thought about the upcoming nap with Bette. “Drive carefully….it’s nasty out there.”

    “No…it’s not nasty…not at all. It’s beautiful….just look out the window….just look.”

    Tina looked out the window. “Hmmmm…dark, wet….reminds me of you.” Tina giggled.

    “Nice T…really nice. Isn’t it beautiful?”

    “Yes Babe…just like you. I miss you….hurry home ok?”

    “As soon as I finish this proposal…I’m out the door. How are Dylan and Taylor?” Bette’s voice waivered as she asked the question.

    “Awwwww Baby….they miss you…..so do the dogs. We all miss you when you aren’t home. Are you ok Baby?”

    “I don’t know….I just miss you guys.”

    “Well when you get home…it’s going to be all about you.”

    “No T….make it all about us….. ok?”

    “Ok….see you soon. Oh and Bette?”

    “Yeah Sweetie?”

    “I am in love with you…..you……”

    Bette interrupted Tina. “Oh God….I know Sweetie….I know….I’m in love with you too. I’m so in love with you. Anyway, let me wrap this up and I’ll be home.”

    “Please be careful out there….ok Baby?”

    “Yeah…I’ll be careful….I promise you – I’ll be careful.”

    “Bye Baby…”

    “Bye.” Bette hung up the phone. She stared out the window again. She watched the dark clouds circling in the sky…the wind blew creating a faint whistling sound. She let out a heavy sigh and went back to working on the grant application that sat on the desk in front of her.
