shane and carmen: mami (smiling at each other)

shane answers the door. mercedes smiles and hugs her. shane greets the rest of the family as they walk in. mercedes
instructs carmen to go sit down carmen doesnt argue so she joins the rest of her family in the living room. they sit
around talking until the door bell rings again. carmen greet the gang and welcomes them in.

alice: mccutheon dont think i forgot.

shane: trust me al, i kno you didnt.

dana: babe, chill with the investigation for the night please. lets just enjoy our friends(kissing her)

alice: but babe i wanna kno..

mercedes comes out of the kitchen to announce that the food is ready. everyone gets up and prepares their plates.
after every one is seated shane places her hand on carmen’s thigh under the table. carmen nods.

carmen: everyone, we have an announcement

alice: i knew it!!!!

bette: al, shut it

shane: me and carmen are having a baby

alice: o my god, i cant beleive it.

shane pulls out the ultrasound pictures. everyone gathers around. mercedes cries tears of joy.

tina: im proud of you kid, its about time you grew up.

alice: shane, a parent..hell, im still adjusting to shane married

dana: alice!

everyone laughs and talks and congradulates them for the rest of the night. late into the evening when everyone
is gone shane and carmen collapse on the couch.

carmen: that was fun babe

shane: yea..(putting her arm around carmen)

carmen: what do you think it is?

carmen: you just want a boy

shane: yea, my name must go on(smiling)

carmen rolls her eyes

carmen: we need to start getting the nursery ready…

shane nods in agreement.

shane: im wiped out babe, can we go to sleep?

carmen: yea baby im tired to. ive just been so sleepy lately

shane: from what ive read thats normal

carmen: youve been reading? (looking surprised)

shane: yea, i wanna know everything that you’ll be going through

carmen: aww baby(kissing her softly)

they change clothes and climb into bed snuggling into each other.

carmen: good night my love

shane: good night babe

shane rest her hand on carmen’s stomach and falls asleep with a smile.
