Chapter Twenty
“I’m so nervous.” Tina’s hands were shaking.
“Are you getting the jitters already?” Shane looked at Tina across the table. “You still have a week left.”
“I know, but I just have the jitters a little.” She smiled faintly.
“It’s okay—I was the same way, but I ended up leaving my fiancée at the altar.” Tina looked at Shane. “Don’t think that Bette is going to leave you at the altar. Bette loves you too much to do something that wicked to you. She’s ready to marry you. I haven’t seen anyone so ready to marry another person. You two are going to have the most beautiful wedding in West Hollywood, and your friends will be there to celebrate with you.”
Tina smiled. “You know exactly what to say to a friend in need.”
“What can I say? I’m Yoda.” Tina laughed softly, and Shane smirked. Bette walked into the Planet with Angelica’s cake in her arms.
“Hey ladies, here’s the cake.” Bette sat the cake on the table. She opened the top and lifted it up. Tina smiled.
“Babe it’s great.”
Shane nodded. “Yeah—it’s nice.” The top of the cake had pink frosting, and the bottom is white. Dora the Explorer toy in the right hand corner with balloons. Happy First Birthday Miss Angelica written in cursive in white frosting.
“What kind of cake is it?”
“Half white and half chocolate.”
“Perfect,” Tina smiled.
“Kit’s going to let me keep the cake here in the fridge.” She sat the top back down on the cake. She picked it up and went to put the cake away.
“So did you get Angie her gift yet?” Tina smiled at Shane.
“Yes I did. It’s actually from me and Jenny. She’ll like it,” She nodded.
“Hello girls,” Helena and Alice walked into the Planet. They said hi and gave them hugs. Helena smiled at Tina. “What if I told you I found someone to sing at your guys’ reception?”
“Helena—Bette and I haven’t talked about doing a reception.”
“You guys have to do a reception. We have to celebrate and get drunk!” Shane blurted.
“Okay—okay,” Tina laughed. “We’ll have a reception. I’ll make sure to run this by Bette.” She looked at Helena. “Who is this singer?”

Just too sweet. You gotta love the new Bette, leaving work early cos she wants to get home to Tina. Pink and Gwen Stefani can we go? Love that Tina wants Kit to walk her down the asile. Is it time for the wedding yet?
