Angelica & The Artist Valentine’s Day – Finale

    Chapter 5

Angelica stared in complete disbelief.  Did Lyndsay just start something and then walk away asking if she was hungry??  She lay back against the pillows and stared at the ceiling for a couple of minutes.  When it appeared that Lyndsay was in fact not coming right back, she crawled out of bed, grabbed the other silk housecoat that was laid out at the end of the bed and went in search of her girlfriend.

Arriving in the kitchen she stopped in the doorway and leaned against the frame.  She watched intently as Lyndsay scurried around the kitchen.  Without missing a beat Lyndsay asked

“Can you grab that bottle of wine there on the counter and open it please.”

That’s it.  That’s all she said as she went back to her task at hand.  Angelica stood in disbelief.  Lyndsay didn’t look at Angie, she knew she would burst out laughing if she did.  She knew that Angie needed her to…… well ……to take care of things, but she was bound and determined to make her wait as long as she could.

Lyndsay had put together two plates of food and as she walked by Angie towards the dining room table, she motioned to Angie about the wine and kept walking.

Reluctantly, Angie walked over grabbed the wine and two glasses and followed her girlfriend.  Arriving at the dining room table, Angie placed the glasses on the table, and poured some in each glass.  Handing one to Lyndsay, she placed the other at her setting and took a seat.

“Thanks Babe,” responded Lyndsay.  Raising her glass, she then made a toast to the two of them.  “Here’s to our first Valentine’s Day, hopefully the first of many more to come.”

They tapped their glasses and took a sip of wine.  Angie continued to just watch this woman in awe.  How could she start something that hot and then just walk away without finishing?  Angie was starting to realize just how much there was still to learn about Lyndsay Adams.

This woman challenged her like no other ever had.  She possessed a strength within her that was quiet and understated.  Angie likened Lyndsay to her Mama T.  Time after time as she was growing up she had watched as Tina had exercised her quiet understated power over Mama B to get what she wanted.  Angie had always marveled at that distinct ability, and now she too had found a woman capable of doing the same thing.
