Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 31
Chapter 31
Barb just stared at her daughter. How could she explain how she felt. Christina Kennard had always been a sensitive spot for her. She knew that David loved her, and they had shared a wonderful life together, but there was always that stigma of his first serious girlfriend in high school, and how he might have ended up with her if they had not chosen to attend different colleges. Barb might never have met him.
“Mom?”
“I’m sorry sweetie.” Barb walked into the room and took a seat on the bed. Lyndsay came over and sat beside her Mom, placing her arm around her shoulders.
“Mom, you don’t think that Dad still has feelings for Angie’s Mom do you?”
“I know it sounds silly, but in the back of my mind I guess I have always wondered what would have happened if your Dad had gone to the same college as Christina. You see, I knew from some of your Dad’s friends that they had always thought the two of them would one day end up together, and were very surprised when your Dad and I married. Even your Uncle Steve. He told me so early on when I started dating your Dad.”
Lyndsay stared at her Mom. This was so unlike her to have any insecurity about anything in her life. She was always the strong confident one. She fulfilled her duties as wife and mother at home, while still having her own successful career. Lyndsay had always admired her Mom for her accomplishments and community work so she was having hard time understanding where this newly exposed insecurity was coming from. She was sure her Father had always remained faithful, so it couldn’t be that. Her own friends had always been envious of the close and loving relationship that Barb and David had always portrayed, especially when that same connection was not evident in their own parents lives.
“Mom, Daddy loves you. I have watched the two of you all of my life and I can see it when he looks at you, or you look at him. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about. Besides, I have seen Angie’s two Moms’ together and they have a similar connection like you and Daddy have. Anyone in their immediate vicinity can see it emanating from them. Trust me…..you have nothing to worry about.”

That was so sweet. Hah, you want to go out and get something to eat. Now, Lyndsay can introduce Angie to her Mom. Wait till Barb see’s B&T together, then she’ll know she has nothing to worry about. Sorry, you haven’t been feeling well, and you’ve got snow. Its like 85 where I am.
Hello Beautiful Dudette… LMAO… come on catchy huh hehe… Wow that was like HOT and like ummmmm… yeah I’m at a lose for words so I’ll use some of yours, like: With a mere glint in her eye, Angie said one word “surprise”… it is passages like that, that just hit me and I realize I am reading a real honest to god great storyteller… pfffftttt before you go any further and try and claim your not a ‘writer’ I will say hmmmmffff… not going to hear it… you have an exceptional gift, you weave words together in such an emotional way that it is hard not to feel impacted by your characters and their lives… and that is a hard feat… so yeah YOU ROCK and ROLL… keep it up my friend, love and hugs, JC (Latin Nephew to those Salsa Angels)
Sorry that you are under the weather. God no pun intenden. It was 76 here today in Dallas/FW area. Love this story, They remind me of a young T&B. Angie reminds me so much of Bette.
Nice update Taz…I wonder if Angie and Lyndsay know how much they parallel Bette and Tina. I think Thanksgiving should be Bette and Tina and Barbara and David all together with Angie and Lyndsay…what fun that would be!
Excellent update!! I am sorry that you have been sick. If it is any consolation at all, almost everyone I know here has had the same stuff so it must be everywhere, like pre-flu or something. Hope you are better soon. It took me 12 days of steroids to finally beat it.
Damm Taz look out the window again I think you just melted the snow the world around that was so hot. Thank you, I was in a gurmpy mood before I read this. Just hope you feel better soon too. Thank you, Md
Hello my friend, I knew your email said NOT to read at work (which I don’t read any Fan Fic from work), and now I know exactly why! VERY HOT! These two gals are so young and fresh in their relationship, and the sparks ignite instantly. It’s a beautiful and electric feeling when that occurs. I know you’ve had a terrible week with your cold. I hope that you get a restful weekend. I sent ya an IM, did you pass out at your computer? LOL TTYS

Awww Tazzie, we feel so bad for you! Get well soon, sweetie. Try to keep warm at home and make yourself as comfortable as you can. – As for the story, all we could say is that we loved the way you described the chemistry between Linds and Angie. How they are becoming more in sync with each other. They do belong together, but they still have to plan where do they go from here. Thanks for this sensual and steammy chappy. PPS Big hugs & kisses on both your cheeks. – Lucero & Marsha (JC’s Salsa Aunties)
