Chapter 5
“Why hasn’t she called?”
Tina looked over to the direction of the voice. She didn’t answer.
“T?”
“Yes?”
“Well?”
“Well what?”
Clearly frustrated, Bette continued to pace back and forth in front of the patio doors that led out to the pool.
“Bette, would you come and sit down please. She will call when she has a chance. Something this big…….. she will call.”
“Maybe it didn’t happen. Maybe Lyndsay got cold feet. Maybe Angie said no.”
“Bette, stop it. You know that’s not going to happen. Just give them some more time ok.”
“But T……”
By now Tina had enough of the pacing and of the non stop questions. She put down the script she had been reading, walked over to her wife, pulled her close and passionately kissed her. If asking her to stop wouldn’t work, then she would find a way to distract her instead.
As they separated, Bette asked “what was that for?”
Tina simply smiled and stepped back slowly while maintaining eye contact with her wife. She reached up to the top button of her blouse and slowly began to undo the buttons, never breaking the connection with their eyes. If there was one way she knew how to distract Bette Porter, it was like this. Slowly undressing in front of her would surely take her mind off of Angelica and Lyndsay and allow her enough time to divert her attention else where for awhile.
Bette watched as each button was slowly unfastened, exposing a little more with each passing second. She licked her lips as Tina reached the last one. Her heart began to pound in her chest, her breathing quickened. Tina took a step closer and brought her mouth up to Bette’s left ear. Softly she whispered “If you want to see the rest…..follow me……”. She slowly moved her tongue across the edge of Bette’s earlobe causing her to shudder, then turned and walked towards their bedroom without saying another word.
When she reached the hallway she stopped and looked back. Seductively she said one word “coming?” Before winking, slowly turning, dropping her blouse on the floor exposing her bare back then disappearing down the hallway towards their room.
For a brief moment Bette stood motionless. She was unable to move, she simply stared in the direction her lover had just sauntered away in. As the desire continued to rise within her, she glanced over at the desk where the phone sat in its cradle, almost willing it to ring. When it did not, she muttered something under her breath then turned to head in the direction of the bedroom.

Taz I am so glad you decided to write another Angie and the artist story. Wow what a proposal! Absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to hear Angie talk to her moms. Those two are so cute…Tina sure knows how to handle Bette.
