All you need is love – Chapter 8
Bette was standing opening a new bottle of her best 20 year old Southern Comfort and watching Tina. As soon as the blonde had sat down on the sofa both cats had walked across and leapt into her lap – so she was busy trying to keep both happy with the right levels of affection. Bette poured two large shots of booze and added a bottle of mixer to the tray before carrying it across to her guest.
“Come on you two – give the woman some time to get her drink” Bette grabbed one of the cats and deposited her on the carpet – indignantly it returned and jumped onto the sofa beside Tina.
Bette handed Tina her glass
“Thanks “
Bette joined Tina on the sofa but with a cat between them.
“Are you okay?”
Tina nodded “I am beginning to dread Fridays – this tantrum was the worst one that she has thrown yet “
“I know from Dan that his rage when he thinks he’s been slighted is very hard to deal with “
“He seems a much calmer child than Rebecca “
“ Dan has a temper on him but he’s very mature for his age “
“He beat Becky in a science test at school yesterday – I don’t think that helped her mood. She doesn’t take well to not being top of the class “
Bette laughed “He’s got a bruise on his shin from where she kicked him playing soccer “
“”Oh no – shit – I’m sorry Bette “
“Its okay – kids are robust – and maybe I am too protective of mine. Tell me how well do the other girls get on with their father and his boyfriend?”
“Madison adores her dad – really dotes on him. She misses him as much as Becky but they have reacted differently – Maddy has accepted it and doesn’t seem fazed by the way things have changed. Hannah is too young to understand but she just knows that he’s her daddy and she loves him “
Bette smiled at the blonde – Tina really was very pretty. Bette had stopped thinking of women in such terms after her wife had died – why should she care if a woman was beautiful or not – she was not and would never be as beautiful as Emily.

Glad for the update, love this story. Danny is cute. Seems to me Ms. Porter is trying to get Tina smashed. Maybe we could have a bit longer next time. Come on Ally, you know we always want more from you.

God, all that drinking-I’m glad they’re going to have some dinner, I wouldn’t want them too plowed to get to the good part. It would be nice if they put each other to bed and didn’t immediately fall asleep.
Awwww so cute – B&T getting drunk together could be fun….I’m sure you’ll have a great time writing that LOL. Ally hope you’ve a nice time off and will treat us with a lot of writing :o))

OMG the cats. LOL! Kids do say the darndest things, but this time Danny is right. Becky just needs to chill out. Tina and Ollie meeting was definitely an interesting story.
Bourbon gives one a resounding hangover and headache when consumed in large quantities as they are. LOL> Keep the faith ally. What TV producer wouldn’t kill to have two actors such as JB and LuH on their show. Their chemistry is astounding and IC’s repudiation of this chemistry is astounding as well. PPS.
So they have finally sat down and really talked with each other…not sure if strong alcohol is such a good mix in that…tends to sway my brain over to the forgetful and/or regretful side of things. Of course there were those rare instances when it did help to “move things along” in certain situations in a good way… Enough about that! I love this story Ally! You writing is so good! I love their relationships with their children. If only all parents would be this attentive to their children’s emotional needs. Bette is right telling Tina that she and Paul need to sit down and really talk with Becky. She is going to continue to lash out until someone gets through to her. I really like the interaction with the cats and Tina. If your cats like someone (even though they smell of dogs) you know they are alright! Thank you Ally! Have fun while you’re off! Hope you don’t get so high from the paint fumes that you forget about us! Can’t wait for more on this and all your other wonderful stories!

Very, very nice update Ally, I love that B&T are finally getting to know each other and letting down their gaurds. Bette is right, Tina and Ollie need to set down and talk to Becky together. Se is only acting out of love for her mother, and probably would have done the same thing if Tina had found someone first. They need to make her understand that they both still love each other and are much happier now. PPS :o).
